Rickie Lee Jones
Rickie Lee Jones (born November 8, 1954) is an American vocalist, musician, songwriter and producer. Over the course of a career that spans over three decades, Jones has recorded in various musical styles including rock, R&B, blues, pop, soul, and jazz standards. Her songwriting has been characterized as "a blend of bravado and vulnerability [that] wavers on indefinable borders". She is also known for her unique singing style, especially in live performances. One concert reviewer, describing her rendering of "We Belong Together", states she "reached her apex, skating from swells into near screams into breathy whispers, from pointillist staccato scats into brassy, trumpetlike bursts".
Jones is a two-time Grammy Award winner. Additionally, she was listed at No. 30 on VH1's 100 Greatest Women in Rock & Roll in 1999.
Early life
Rickie Lee Jones was born the third of four children to Bettye and Richard Jones, on the north side of Chicago, Illinois on November 8, 1954. Her paternal grandfather, Frank "Peg Leg" Jones, and her grandmother, Myrtle Lee, a dancer, were vaudevillians based in Chicago. A singer, dancer and comedian, Peg Leg Jones's routine consisted of playing the ukulele, singing ballads, and telling stories. Jones's father, one of four children, was a WWII veteran. A singer, songwriter, painter, and trumpet player, her father worked as a waiter. Her mother, Bettye, was raised in orphanages in Ohio with her three brothers until she was old enough to leave. Bettye and Richard met in a drugstore coffee shop.
Rickie Lee Jones (album)
Rickie Lee Jones is the eponymous debut album of singer-songwriter Rickie Lee Jones. After arriving in California in the mid-1970s, Jones started taking songwriting more seriously, and by 1977 had met singer-songwriters Chuck E. Weiss and Tom Waits (Jones consequently became romantically involved with Waits).
Overview
Jones had begun playing live in the Los Angeles area at the age of 21, and after meeting singer-songwriter Alfred Johnson, the pair began writing and performing live together (most notably at the Ala Carte club.) Two of their collaborations, "Weasel and the White Boys Cool" and "Company," would later be recorded for Jones' debut album. She also sang jazz standards, as well as a song penned by her father ("The Moon Is Made of Gold") in her live sets.
Jones' performances around Los Angeles aroused interest from other local songwriters, as well as local record company executives. At a label showcase, Jones performed originals, including "Chuck E.'s in Love", "The Real Thing Is Back in Town" and "The Moon Is Made of Gold." This showcase performance, plus a demo containing "The Last Chance Texaco", "Easy Money", "Young Blood" and "After Hours" led to a record deal with Warner Bros.. For her major label debut, Jones scrapped "The Real Thing Is Back in Town," but used the titular line in one of the album's tracks - "Coolsville."
Robert Ben Rhoades
Robert Ben Rhoades (born November 22, 1945) is an American serial killer and rapist. From 1989 to 1990 he is believed to have tortured, raped, and killed more than 50 women, although he has only 3 confirmed victims. He is best known for taking a photo of his last known victim, Regina Kay Walters, moments before killing her in an abandoned barn in Illinois.
Early life
In the early years of his life, Rhoades was raised by his mother alone, though his father returned from overseas when Robert was still in school. Rhoades' high school years were notable only for an arrest at age 18 for tampering with a vehicle. After graduating in 1964, he immediately joined the Marine Corps. That same year, his father was arrested for molesting a 12-year-old girl, and subsequently committed suicide. In 1967, Rhoades was arrested again for theft; in 1966, he was dishonorably discharged from the military.
After his dismissal, Rhoades married three times, having a son with his first wife, and became a truck driver.

Lee Jones (born 9 August 1970 in Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper.
Jones was signed in 2003 from Stockport County, and also played for Bristol Rovers and Swansea City.
In December 2006, Jones joined Bury on an emergency seven-day loan. He made his debut against Mansfield Town on 9 December but wasn't available for Bury's FA Cup replay against Chester due to signing restrictions.
On 8 January 2007, Jones joined Darlington on loan from Blackpool for a month. On 31 January, the move from the club for whom he was voted Player of the Season in 2005–06 was made permanent.
In late 2007, Jones signed for Nantwich Town in the Northern Premier League Division One South. Jones was released in February 2010. He joined Morecambe as a coach, also sitting on the bench when the club became low on first team goalkeepers.

Jones earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University in North Carolina in 1978, and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1983.
From October 2003 to April 2007, Jones worked as the cardroom manager of the PokerStars online poker cardroom. As the poker room manager, Jones decided which poker tournaments and games to offer the players. In April 2007, Jones retired as the poker room manager of PokerStars and began work with the European Poker Tour. Jones said that he was making the change "to expand [his] horizons and stretch some new muscles." Jones organized, hosted, and provided television commentary for EPT events, while also still serving as a consultant for PokerStars.
In April 2008 Jones announced he was leaving EPT to become COO of CardRunners, a poker instructional website. He left Cardrunners in 2009.
