Parkdale—High Park: Richard Roy

Mr. Roy was an executive secretary at the time of the election. His campaign seems to have been based on eco-capitalist lines. A newspaper article from the period cites him as favouring the following policies: retrofitting energy-inefficient buildings, providing financial incentives for organic farmers and reducing or eliminating income taxes (Toronto Star, 22 October 1993). He received 430 votes (1.05%), finishing sixth against Liberal incumbent Jesse Flis.

In 2002, he wrote that Ontario's composting policies left open the possibility for E. coli contamination in the province's produce (Toronto Star, 17 September 2002).

Richard Roy (footballer)

Richard Roy (born 10 October 1987) is a Trinidadian international footballer who plays for Defence Force, as a striker.

Career

Roy has played club football in Trinidad and Tobago for Defence Force. He was top scorer of the TT Pro League in the 2011–12 season, scoring 14 goals.

He made his international debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 2008.

Sum 41 is a Canadian rock band from Ajax, Ontario, Canada. In 2007, the band released Underclass Hero, which was released to a mixed reception, but gained some commercial success, becoming the band's highest charting album to date. It was also the last album on Aquarius Records. The band released Screaming Bloody Murder, their first album on island Records, in 2011 to a mixed to positive reception, though it fell short of its predecessors' commercial success.
