Roberto Zanetti

Roberto Zanetti (born November 28, 1956) is an Italian singer, music producer, composer and businessman from Massa, Tuscany. As a singer he is known under the stage name Savage, and as a music producer he uses the alias Robyx.

He has founded several companies: Robyx Productions, Extravaganza Publishing and DWA Records.

Zanetti has produced and written music for several artists other than himself, including Ice MC, Double You, Alexia and Zucchero.

Vocal career

Since 1983, Zanetti has recorded under the stage name Savage. His song "Don't Cry Tonight" was successful across Europe and has been frequently remixed since. The same year, he recorded "Only You", a slow disco number which has also become significantly popular. His first album, Tonight was commercially successful and preceded singles like "Radio", "Time", "A Love Again", "Celebrate", and "Love Is Death". In 1989, he recorded "I Just Died In Your Arms" (a Hi-NRG remake of the Cutting Crew song), as well as a greatest hits album. In 1994, he released another album, Strangelove, containing a number of remixes of his older songs and four mixes of the song "Strangelove" (originally by Depeche Mode). The last single which was released by Savage was "Don't You Want Me", which appeared on his own label, Dance World Attack Records (DWA) in 1994. This track does not appear on the Strangelove album. After a fifteen-year silence, he released "Twothousandnine" as a single in October 2009.

Savage (band)

Savage is a heavy metal band from Mansfield, England.

The band is most remembered for the song titled 'Let it Loose', a track which made significant impact on the early 1980s metal scene (indeed, it was later covered by Metallica on Ron McGovney's Garage demo, and would later give rise to the name of their first album, Loose 'N Lethal, released in 1983 and nowadays considered a classic.

The group was formed in 1976 by 16-year-old bass player Chris Bradley, vocalist Chris Gent, guitarist Lee Statham and drummer Mick Percival, but after only one official gig the band disbanded and was re-formed in 1978 by Bradley, joined by Andy Bradbury on guitar, Simon Dawson on drums and his 15-year-old brother Andy Dawson on guitar. Line-up issues continued as Andy Bradbury was replaced by Wayne Renshaw, and Simon Dawson left to be replaced after a long period of searching by Dave Lindley. This was the line up that appeared on the compilation albums Scene of the Crime (the album picked up by a young Lars Ulrich, featuring 'Let it Loose'), Metal Fatigue and the double A-side single 'Aint No Fit Place'/'The China Run'. Lindley left shortly after this as was replaced by Mark Brown of Tyrant (another Mansfield based band that had appeared on Scene of the Crime).

Unseen is the seventh studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band The Haunted.

Vocalist Peter Dolving has described the album as "Epic. Danceable. Groovy. And very very arty farty metal. With this next record we are going to be taking a piss in the general direction of all the crappy 99.9 percent of generic contemporary Mr. Goatse jerks out there".

The album cover and tracklist were revealed on January 28, 2011. The cover was done by Frode Sylthe, a friend of the band, who also did the cover to their 2004 album Revolver. The band has said that they "really like his design aesthetic, and he seems to come up with something unique every single time".

Background

The writing process for the album began in August 2009, a year after the release of Versus, and forty songs were written for the album prior to April 21, 2010 according to vocalist Peter Dolving. The album title was revealed by Dolving on December 30, 2010, at which time the album was finished except for some minor details. It was revealed that the title track "Unseen" was co-written by David Johansson of Coldtears.

Ugly John

Ugly John is a mutant in the Marvel Universe. The character, created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, first appeared in New X-Men #114 (July 2001).

Within the context of the stories, Ugly John is an Australian mutant possessed of three faces. Ugly John is rescued from the giant mutant-hunting robots known as the Sentinels by Cyclops and Wolverine of the X-Men. En route back to Westchester, the X-Men's X-Jet is shot down by more Sentinels over Central America. Captured by Cassandra Nova, the genetic twin of Professor Charles Xavier, Ugly John is to be executed but the attempt fails. To ease his suffering, Cyclops shoots John with an optic blast.

U-Go Girl

U-Go Girl (Edie Sawyer), is a mutant in the Marvel Universe, a member of X-Statix. The character, created by Peter Milligan and Mike Allred, first appeared in X-Force #116 (May 2001).

Within the context of the stories, U-Go Girl can teleport herself and others (in a radius of five feet) across the globe, although this process is physically draining. Edie becomes pregnant by a young drifter when she is fifteen, and her parents decide to raise the girl as Edie's sister rather than daughter. Edie's power of teleportation fully manifests when she first looks at her daughter's face and feels a powerful urge to "get away." She teleports to Los Angeles. Edie struggles as a waitress and an actress until she becomes smitten with X-Force leader Zeitgeist and decides to try out for the team. She perfects her "aim" with her teleportation and comes up with the codename "Tele-Girl"; she becomes U-Go Girl after she accidentally flashes a crowd during her team tryout and someone screams, "You go, girl!"

RIA (Red de Innovación y Aprendizaje)

The RIA (Red de Innovación y Aprendizaje), or Leaning and Innovation Network, is a group of education centers that offer members of underserved communities in Mexico access to computers, the Internet and quality education. The RIA is overseen by Fundación Proacceso, a Mexico-based non-profit organization focused on using technology as a tool for education.

Background

The first RIA center was inaugurated on May 18, 2009, and since then over 68,000 users have registered at its ten centers. Thirty-two new RIA centers will open by the end of January 2011, bringing the network to a total of 42 centers.

The RIA offers courses on basic computer and Internet skills, English, finding work through the Internet, math and science workshops for children, personal finance and more. Students can also obtain their high school, bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the RIA through the Institute of Online education. Courses are taught by qualified facilitators, many of whom are residents of the local communities that the RIA targets.
