Moth (dinghy)

The Moth Class is the name for a small development class of sailing dinghy. Originally a cheap home built sailing boat designed to plane, now it is an expensive largely commercially produced boat designed to hydroplane on foils. Many of the older design Moths still exist and are fun recreational boats but far slower.

History

Beginnings

The current International Moth is a result of merging two separate but similar historical developments. The first occurred in Australia in 1928 when Len Morris built a cat rigged (single sail) flat bottomed scow(horizontal bow rather than the "normal" vertical) to sail on Andersons' Inlet at Inverloch, a seaside resort, 130 km from Melbourne. The scow was hard chined, was 11 feet (3.4 m) long, and carried 80 square feet (7.4 m²) in single mainsail. The craft was named "Olive" after his wife. The construction was timber with an internal construction somewhat like Hargreave's box kite. "Olive's" performance was so outstanding, that a similar boat "Whoopee" was built. Len Morris then sold "Olive", and built another boat called "Flutterby", and with those three boats, the Inverloch Yacht Club was formed. Restrictions for the class known as the Inverloch Eleven Footer class were then drawn up, with the distinguishing characteristic that of being not a one-design boat but rather that of a boat permitting development within the set of design parameters.

Moth is a town and a nagar panchayat in Jhansi district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Brief history

The place was earlier called "मठ" and during British rule in India, the name changed to "Moth" due to their British accent. The place has an old fort which is almost in to ruins now.

Nearest village-reo,kumhrar, bakuan, bharosa, dhwar ki matan, dasna, reo is also one of them. There is a famous devi mandir, and high mountain, kasai babba mandior is also famous. There is an old neem trees, that is mounted by mr. gya prasad khare, there is also an old hanuman mandir and hardol mandir.

As of 2001 India census, Moth had a population of 13,029. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Moth has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 57%. In Moth, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Plot

A new teacher comes to a boys school and immediately has a young student hitting on him. Along with another student always glaring at them when they're together. Reverse (original title: Rewers) is a 2009 Polish drama film with a fair portion of black humor, directed by Borys Lankosz.

Plot

This film is set in Warsaw in the 1950s, with a few flash-forwards to present-day Warsaw. The main character is Sabina, a quiet, shy woman who has just turned thirty, and lives with her mother and ailing grandmother. Sabina lacks a man in her life, and her mother tries hard to find a husband for her. The grandmother, an eccentric lady with a sharp tongue from whom no secret can be concealed, also gets involved. Successive admirers arrive at their small, but tasteful apartment in an antebellum house, but Sabina shows no interest in any of them.

One night, appearing out of nowhere, comes the charming, intelligent, and good-looking Bronislaw. Bronislaw is apparently interested in Sabina, and courts her, and Sabina falls hopelessly in love with him. But when Bronislaw reveals that he is a member of the secret police, and wants Sabina to spy on her boss at the state-run publishing house, things go from bad to worse to macabre. Sabina and her mother and her grandmother are fortunately up to the challenge, revealing a darker side to their otherwise affable personalities.
