Grant Nelson

Grant Nelson (born 27 April 1971 in London), also known as Wishdokta, Bump & Flex and N'n'G, is an English DJ, remixer and record producer.

Nelson is heralded as one of the godfathers of UK garage due to his numerous club hits on his Nice 'n' Ripe record label in the early 1990s. It was his sound along with a few others that gave birth to the then known as 'Sunday Scene' which evolved into UK garage.

He also produced under the name "Wishdokta" from 1990 to 1993 when he was producing breakbeat hardcore/drum and bass for the legendary London label Kickin Records.

In 1993, Wishdokta teamed up with DJ Vibes and together they delivered some of happy hardcore's biggest anthems on Vibes' Asylum Music Inc. and other labels including Happy Trax.

In 1997, Nelson started using the alter-ego "Bump & Flex" and began to produce UK 2-step. He delivered some of the scene's biggest records including "Funk on Ah Roll" by James Brown.

Nelson has always remained a house head since his early Nice 'n' Ripe days and continues to do so to the present with his Swing City Records label that consistently delivers top drawer house music.

Restless (New Order song)

"Restless" is a song by English rock band New Order, released on 28 July 2015 to promote their upcoming tenth album, Music Complete. This is the first single, as well as new material, New Order has released in a decade since 2005's single, "Waiting for the Sirens' Call", as well as the first single featuring Tom Chapman replacing former bassist and founding member Peter Hook. The song's concept revolves around greed and consumption.

The song has received generally favourable reviews. The overall composition, as well as its catchy tune and lyrics were praised.

Background

This is the first single released since 2005, as well as the return of Gillian Gilbert and the introduction of Tom Chapman.

Music Complete was announced from 2 September 2014 thru 22 June 2015 on Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, as well as other places, including the band's official website. They all hinted at a future release of an LP, as well as other future releases.

On July 28, the single was released as a format of digital download. A physical CD and 12" vinyl with additional remixes were released later on October 6.

Restless (2011 film)

Restless is a 2011 British-American drama film directed by Gus Van Sant and written by Jason Lew. It stars Henry Hopper and Mia Wasikowska. Shot in Portland, Oregon, United States, and produced by Bryce Dallas Howard, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer for Sony Pictures Classics and Imagine Entertainment, it was released by Columbia Pictures on September 16, 2011. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival on May 12.

Synopsis

A young man, Enoch, is out of school and has been befriended by a ghost of a Japanese kamikaze pilot. For unexplained reasons, he attends the funerals of strangers without invitation; at one of these he meets a young woman, Annabel, who says she works with children who have cancer, and the two start spending time together. Later Annabel acknowledges she has cancer herself, a fact which Enoch appears to accommodate, even when Annabel discovers she has only three months left to live. As their relationship becomes romantic, Enoch's placidity is explained by his own history of near-death experience, but when the loss of Annabel becomes a reality his behaviour betrays more evidence of turmoil. Annabel accepts and reacts to this. At Annabel's memorial Enoch asks to speak, but before he says anything memories of the couple's happiness together appear to resolve his grief.

Restless (2012 miniseries)

Restless is a 2012 British TV adaptation of William Boyd's espionage novel Restless (2006). Directed by Edward Hall, the film features Hayley Atwell, Rufus Sewell, Michelle Dockery, Michael Gambon and Charlotte Rampling. The two parts first aired on 27 and 28 December 2012 on BBC One.

Plot

Part One

The first episode opens in the 1970s with Ruth Gilmartin, a PhD student at St Johns College Cambridge, driving with her young son to visit her mother in her country cottage. When she arrives her mother, Sally Gilmartin, is nervous and believes that men are watching her from the nearby woods. Ruth mocks her mother's fears. Sally then hands her a notebook with the name "Eva Delectorskaya" on the front, and informs her daughter that this is her real name.

The action then moves to Paris in 1939. Eva, as a young woman, is shown with her brother. The family has recently arrived in Paris from their native Russia. After leaving Eva, her brother is kicked to death in the street by a gang of men. After the funeral, Eva is approached by an Englishman whom she had earlier seen talking to her brother. He introduces himself as Lucas Romer and gives Eva a business card for the company "AAS Ltd".
