Rescue Me (UK TV series)

Rescue Me is a British romantic comedy television series produced by Tiger Aspect Productions and broadcast on BBC One in 2002. It was created, and principally written, by David Nicholls and stars Sally Phillips as Katie Nash, a woman who is recovering from a divorce while at the same time writing relationship features for Eden, the women's magazine she works on. The series was filmed from November to December 2001. It ran for six episodes, averaging 3.4 million viewers and a 15% audience share in its Sunday night timeslot. The low ratings meant it was not recommissioned for a second series, leaving an unresolved cliffhanger. Nicholls had written four episodes of the unmade second series before discovering Rescue Me had been cancelled. As a result, he took a break from screenwriting to concentrate on his debut novel Starter for Ten. A cover version of "Rescue Me", performed by Oliver Darley, is the series theme tune.

"Rescue Me" is a song by British rock band You Me at Six. The song features vocals from Chiddy, one half of the American hip-hop duo Chiddy Bang and was released in the United Kingdom on 13 February 2011; where it debuted at number 21 on the UK Singles Chart and number 50 on the Irish Singles Chart.

Chiddy Bang are to re-release the song on their upcoming album as Chiddy Bang featuring You Me at Six.

Song creation

In an interview with the music magazine Rock Sound in September 2011 Josh Franceschi said that "Rescue Me" was a low point for the band. "We were basically forced to release a song that we didn't want to", he said. According to Franceschi, the band wanted to end the promotional campaign for Hold Me Down with "Fireworks", a ballad which is the last track of the album, but the label wanted a big radio song. "We got drunk during some time off last year and wrote a song that was like "Airplanes" as a joke", the singer recalled. "We sent the track in and two weeks later we got a call from our label saying it was the best You Me At Six song we'd ever written... Soon enough, we get another call - they're shooting a video for the song". Franceschi said he felt like the band had sold out: "I honestly could not believe I was part of something like that... we've worked too hard getting to where we are to throw it all away because someone who sits in an office thinks he knows more about our fans and our band than we do."

Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch were a professional wrestling tag team most famous for the time they spent performing for World Wrestling Entertainment's Raw brand. The team debuted on the September 5, 2005 episode of Raw and in their time together held the World Tag Team Championship on three occasions. The team was briefly broken up in 2006, but was later reunited. During the 2008 WWE Draft, Murdoch was moved to the SmackDown brand, separating the two. Shortly after being drafted, he was released from the company. Later the same year, Cade was released as well, and the team reunited again on the independent circuit.

Formation

In August 2005, both Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch were promoted from World Wrestling Entertainment's developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling, to the main Raw roster and wrestled dark matches under the team name "TNT".

On the August 22, 2005 episode of Raw, a vignette was shown showcasing the new tag team of "Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch". The men were shown in a bar setting, portraying redneck characters; Cade a smooth-talking cowboy, and Murdoch an angry, Southern trucker.^view They defeated the reigning World Tag Team Champions, the Hurricane and Rosey, in a non-title match in their televised in-ring debut on the September 5, 2005 episode of Raw, making them the number one contenders for the championship. They took the championship for the first time at the Unforgiven pay-per-view after Murdoch delivered an elevated DDT to the Hurricane outside of the ring causing him to suffer a kayfabe stinger. They held the title for six weeks, when they dropped them to Big Show and Kane at November's Taboo Tuesday event.

VIA C7

The VIA C7 is an x86 central processing unit designed by Centaur Technology and sold by VIA Technologies.

Product history

The C7 delivers a number of improvements to the older VIA C3 cores but is nearly identical to the latest VIA C3 Nehemiah core. The C7 was officially launched in May 2005, although according to market reports, full volume production was not in place at that date. In May 2006 Intel's cross-licensing agreement with VIA expired and was not renewed, which was the reason for the forced termination of C3 shipments on March 31, 2006, as VIA lost rights to the socket 370. The C7 appears still to be found in the marketplace, for example, on the bargain-priced Everex TC2502, sold by Walmart with a Linux distribution preinstalled and on the HP Mini-Note.

A 1 GHz C7 processor with 128kB of cache memory is used in VIA's own PX10000G motherboard which is based on the proprietary Pico-ITX form factor. The chip is cooled by a large heatsink that covers most of the board and a small 40mm fan.
