Replay (Iyaz album)

Replay is the debut studio album by British Virgin Islands R&B recording artist Iyaz, released in Ireland on 4 June 2010. The album was executively produced by Iyaz's label boss J.R. Rotem. It was originally to be titled My Life as a request by Iyaz but was retitled and postponed, in order not to compete with The Ready Set's debut album I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming, also released by Rotem. The album's lead single "Replay" was released on 11 August 2009. The album's second single "Solo" was released on 8 February 2010. "So Big" was released as the album's third single on 21 June 2010.

  • Album trivia

Several songs on Replay are covers of the original versions by their respective artists:

  • "Honey To The Bee" was originally sung and released as a single by British popstar Billie Piper.
  • "Just A Little" was recorded with slightly more suggestive lyrics by British group Liberty X in 2001.
  • Replay (Crosby, Stills & Nash album)

Replay is the sixth album by Crosby, Stills & Nash and their second retrospective, appearing in 1980 on the Atlantic Records label. It contains no material with Neil Young, but does from CSN solo projects. It peaked at #122 on the Billboard 200, their first album not to chart in the top ten, and is currently out of print.

    Background

In 1980, Stephen Stills invited Graham Nash to accompany him on a tour of Europe, both subsequently deciding to record songs together in this unexplored permutation of CSNY. The label, however, wanted more CSN product, and with the pair still in process, released this package for the Christmas sales season. The pair continued to work in the studio together, but again Atlantic Records insisted on the inclusion of David Crosby as the CSN brand increased sales potential greatly, which would result in their next album, Daylight Again. Apparently given his minimal number of writing credits and therefore low royalties, Crosby had no hand in the selection for Replay, dismissing the album as "an obvious money trip, nothing more."

    Agnes (novel)

Agnes is a 1998 German novel by Peter Stamm and was considered to be his literary debut. The book was first published in German on August 1, 1998 through Arche Verlag and follows a romance between a nameless older man and Agnes, a young woman that is almost half his age. Of the book, Stamm commented that he saw the book's landscape and climate as an important way of setting the tone for the novel and its characters.

The book has been adapted into a radio play and in 2012, Agnes was adapted into a stage play by Christian Papke.

    Synopsis

    Agnes (card game)

Agnes is a solitaire card game which is a variant of the very popular game Klondike. It is similar to the latter except on how the stock is dealt.

    Rules

The first 28 cards are dealt in the same way as in Klondike. Then a card is placed in the first of the four foundations. This card will be the first card of that foundation and all other cards with the same rank should be placed at the other three foundations.

Seven cards are then dealt in a row either above or below the tableau. This will act as the reserve. The cards in the reserve are available for play.

Playing the game is a lot like Klondike except that any gaps are filled in by a card a rank lower than the first card of the foundation. For instance, if the first card of each foundation is a 10, gaps are only filled by 9s. Foundations are built up by suit, while the columns on the tableau are built down in alternating colors, wrapping from Ace to King if necessary. When play is no longer possible on the tableau, any card on the reserve can be used to continue the game. Gaps in the reserve are not filled until a new set is dealt.
