Battle Cry Campaign

The Battle Cry Campaign was an organizing initiative of a now-defunct parachurch organization known as Teen Mania Ministries. This initiative, started in 2005 and headed by Teen Mania founder Ron Luce, had an evangelical Christian orientation; it primarily sought to influence American and Canadian social and political culture. Major backers included prominent evangelical leaders Joyce Meyer, Chuck Colson, Pat Robertson, Josh McDowell, and Jack Hayford.

Purpose and goals

The basic purpose of the Battle Cry Campaign, as described in its promotional materials and events, was to ensure that Christianity survived in America by redefining society:

Recreate 68

Recreate 68 was an umbrella group of leftist American political groups that protested at the August 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado and 2008 Republican National Convention.

Origin

The group was co-founded and organized by Mark Cohen, Glenn Spagnuolo, and others.

Intentions

The group stated it would "make the 1968 Democratic National conventions protests look small in comparison". In March 2008, the group lost a lottery drawing for a permit to stage protests in the Civic Center, and the spokesman for the group, Glenn Spagnuolo, stated he would not "give up Civic Center to the Democrats", and that the city was creating a "dangerous situation."

Leslie Cagan, who heads the anti-war group United for Peace and Justice, has endorsed the planned demonstrations in Denver.Code Pink stated it would participate in the rallies, hoping to pressure Democratic majorities in the U. S. Congress to do more to end the then ongoing war in Iraq.

Plot

The old man (Jack Taylor) and his lolita (Narges Rashidi) are lovers. They have decided to end it all by a dramatic "shoot-out" finale this very day. As they know one of them will definitely die before the day is over, they decide to have a wild ride through the last day of their lives. They rob banks, fight the Nazis, do drugs, laugh and dance, kiss, feed the poor, and finally have sex for the last time before starting up the ritual to shoot each other to death. However, as each one holds the revolver against the other, neither one knows if the other's revolver is loaded, but the ritual has to go on.
