Žďárec

Žďárec is a village and municipality (obec) in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 8.03 square kilometres (3.10 sq mi), and has a population of 356 (as at 3 July 2006).

Žďárec lies approximately 33 kilometres (21 mi) north-west of Brno and 155 km (96 mi) south-east of Prague.

REC (film)

REC (stylized as [REC]) is a 2007 Spanish zombie horror film, co-written and directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. The film was shot in Barcelona, Spain and the title is an abbreviation of the word "record", as it appears on a video camera.

Balaguero and Plaza previously directed the 2002 documentary OT: la película.REC was filmed as a found footage film and used a "shaky camera" technique. The film was remade in the US as the 2008 film Quarantine.

As the first installment of the REC series, it was followed by three sequels; REC 2 in 2009, REC 3: Genesis in 2012, and REC 4 in 2014 as the final installment in the franchise. Spanish company Filmax International is responsible for the production of the REC franchise and released all four installments.

Plot summary

Reporter Ángela Vidal (Manuela Velasco), and her cameraman Pablo, are covering the night shift in one of Barcelona's local fire stations for the documentary television series While You're Sleeping. While they are recording, the firehouse receives a call about an old woman, Mrs. Izquierdo, who is trapped in her apartment and screaming. Ángela and Pablo accompany two of the firefighters, Álex and Manu, to the apartment building, where two police officers are waiting. As they approach the old woman, she becomes aggressive and attacks one of the officers, biting his neck.

ITU-R Recommendation BT.2020, more commonly known by the abbreviations Rec. 2020 or BT.2020, defines various aspects of UHDTV such as display resolution, frame rate, chroma subsampling, bit depth, and color space. It was posted on the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) website on August 23, 2012.

Resolution

Rec. 2020 defines two resolutions of 3840 × 2160 ("4K") and 7680 × 4320 ("8K"). These resolutions have an aspect ratio of 16:9 and use square pixels.

Frame rate

Rec. 2020 specifies the following frame rates: 120p, 119.88p, 100p, 60p, 59.94p, 50p, 30p, 29.97p, 25p, 24p, 23.976p. Only progressive scan frame rates are allowed.

Digital representation

Rec. 2020 defines a bit depth of either 10-bits per sample or 12-bits per sample.

10-bits per sample Rec. 2020 uses video levels where the black level is defined as code 64 and the nominal peak is defined as code 940. Codes 0-3 and 1,020-1,023 are used for the timing reference. Codes 4 through 63 provide video data below the black level while codes 941 through 1,019 provide video data above the nominal peak.

Barrett REC7

The Barrett REC7 (designation stands for "reliability-enhanced carbine") is an American assault rifle, it is an enhanced M4-pattern rifle available in either 5.56×45mm NATO or 6.8mm Remington SPC developed and manufactured by Barrett Firearms Manufacturing.

History

The REC7 is Barrett’s second AR-pattern rifle chambered for the 6.8mm Remington SPC cartridge, the first being the Barrett M468 rifle. The 6.8 SPC-chambered M468 rifle employed the same direct gas-impingement system as the M4. The result was a system that jetted hot gases directly into the rifle’s receiver, leading to potential stoppages if regular maintenance and cleaning protocols were overlooked. To enhance potential mechanical reliability, Barrett incorporated a short-stroke, piston-driven system that offers the potential for cleaner and cooler operation than one with direct gas-impingement. Barrett is still selling its limited stock of the M468 but only as an upper receiver kit and not as a complete rifle.
