Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts is an American country music group formed in Columbus, Ohio in 1999. The band is composed of Gary LeVox (lead vocals) and second cousins Jay DeMarcus (bass guitar, keyboards, background vocals) and Joe Don Rooney (electric guitar, background vocals). DeMarcus is a brother-in-law of country singer James Otto, and formerly one-half of the Christian music duo East to West.

From 2000 to 2010, they recorded for Disney Music Group's Lyric Street Records. While on that label, they released seven albums, all of which have been certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In order of release, these albums are Rascal Flatts (2000), Melt (2002), Feels Like Today (2004), Me and My Gang (2006), Still Feels Good (2007), Greatest Hits Volume 1 (2008) and Unstoppable (2009). After Lyric Street closed in 2010, they moved to the independent Big Machine Records, for which they have released three more albums: Nothing Like This (2010), Changed (2012), and Rewind (2014).

    Famous quotes by Rascal Flatts:

    "I Go Back."
"We've been living with that song (Feels Like Today) for over two years. It's got a different feel and a different message, a way of presenting today as the day to get over that struggle in your life. It's a positive spiritual song, and being passionate about music and spirituality, we always tend to gravitate toward songs like that. It's one of those that hit us right between the eyes."
"We are thrilled to have Rascal Flatts, currently the hottest group in country music, associated with our efforts to educate the public as to the special needs of our men and women in uniform, and their generosity in wearing the bands at their appearances and concerts has done a great deal to help us bring our message to their fans and friends about how to support our armed forces. In addition, their kindness in bringing a large number of bands along with them to distribute to the troops in the Persian Gulf is just another example of their enthusiastic support. Rascal Flatts is definitely a band for freedom."
    "Fast Cars and Freedom."
"Fan Fair is just the most amazing thing,"
"To get all the country music artists in one place at one time [means] you also can get autographs and pictures if you want. It's awesome, because all the artists and all the fans are right there together, which never happens otherwise during the year,"

    "Bless the Broken Road,"
"I would be cautiously optimistic you could get your concert in,"
"It's your fault! All your money did this tonight! Thanks for helping."

A never going out of style,
    From the concrete jungle,
    Even down a country mile.
    Hey,
Its a boy and a girl,
Livin with the hand theyve been givin,
Its a day in the life,
Its the music in the rhyme of American Living.
    American Living.
Theres a boy and a girl sitting out on a swinging porch,
Singing a song that only two hearts love sang.
Baby, Someday, There about 80, Still in love,
    Would it be that crazy?
    Its a mind set,
A never going out of style,
    From the concrete jungle,
    Even down a country mile.
    Hey,
Its a boy and a girl,
Livin with the hand theyve been givin,
Its a day in the life,
Its the music in the rhyme of American Living.
Theres a mom and a dad,
And their planting all their seeds,
    Everyday working on their dreams,
Just trying to give the best to their kids,
To have a life they never did.
    Its a mind set,
A never going out of style,
    From the concrete jungle,
