Programmed to move
On the paths that they've defined
Swinging to the tired groove
Played in common time
If you're in luck
There's a purpose you might find
Don't stand aside
As life passes by
Listen through the noise in your mind
Can you hear the screams
Of suspended dreams?
Listen to the voice in your mind
Light changes hue
Don't want to be left behind
Someone to join you in the queue
Before you run out of time
And tell yourself
The road ahead is fine
Don't stand aside
As life passes by
Listen through the noise in your mind
Can you hear the screams
Of suspended dreams?
Listen to the voice in your mind
Hey! There's been a mistake
These words don't rhyme no more
Lost in a sea of mediocrity
Chasing Atlantis
How could we not foresee
Life would come to this?
Don't stand aside
As life passes by
Listen through the noise in your mind
Can you hear the screams
Of suspended dreams?
Listen to the voice in your mind
Don't stand aside
As life passes by
