Rajasekhar may refer to:
Rajasekhar was an Indian film director and producer of Kollywood. He was a prominent director of 1980's and his major works were with Rajnikanth. He died shortly before the 100 days celebration of his last film Dharma Dorai. He was the director of Kamal Haasan movies Vikram, the first Tamil film which crossed the budget of 1 crore and Kakki Chattai, the cult entertainer.
Rajasekhar (born Raja Sekhar on 4 February 1962) is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema and few Tamil films. In a career spanning more than twenty five years, he acted in a variety of roles. He starred in classics like Shrutilayalu, Allari Priyudu, and Anna which premiered at International Film Festival of India
Rajasekhar was born in Lakshmipuram, Theni district of Tamil Nadu in a Tamil family to D. C Varadharajan, a retired Police Officer and Andalu Pillai. His brother Selva has also appeared in Tamil film as a lead actor. Before joining films, he studied M. B. B. S. and practiced in Chennai. He married erstwhile Telugu actress Jeevitha and has two daughters. His daughter Shivani would debut in films with upcoming movie Vanda Ki Vanda.
Rajashekhar made his Telugu film debut in 1985 with Vande Mataram. Since then, he has acted in variety of films like Pratighatana, Repati Pourulu, Station Master, Shrutilayalu, Kashmora, Aradhana, Talambralu, Aruna Kiranam, Mamatala Kovela and Akka Mogudu.
