Raja (play)

Raja (Bengali: রাজা), (also known as The King of the Dark Chamber in English translation), is a play by Rabindranath Tagore written in 1910. This play is marked as a symbolic play as well as a ‘mystic play’. The story is loosely borrowed from the Buddhist story of King Kush from Mahāvastu. A short stage version of Raja was published under the title of Arupratan in 1920.

Sen described Raja as ‘the first really symbolic drama by Tagore.’ The theme of the play is ‘the secret dealing of God with the human heart.

Suikoden V

Suikoden V (Japanese: 幻想水滸伝V, Hepburn: Gensō Suikoden Faibu,  (listen) ) is a role-playing video game developed by Konami and Hudson Soft and published by Konami for the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console and the fifth main installment of the Suikoden video game series. It was released in 2006, and has sold around 200,000 copies in Japan.

Loosely based on a classical Chinese novel, Shui Hu Zhuan by Shi Nai'an, Suikoden V centers on the political struggles of the Queendom of Falena, and takes place 6 in-universe years before the events of the first Suikoden. The player controls the Prince of Falena and travels the world, acquiring allies and dealing with the problems of the nation. The game features a vast array of characters, with over sixty characters usable in combat and many more able to help or hinder the Prince in a variety of ways.

Gameplay

Suikoden V is a role-playing video game and thus features many of the usual traits. The player controls the Prince and travels with him around the world map, advancing the plot by completing tasks and talking with other characters. The Prince can also recruit new characters to his cause, which often involves a short sidequest. In towns, the player can gather information, sharpen character's weaponry, learn new skills, and buy equipment; wilderness areas generally feature random encounters with monsters.

Raja (1972 film)

Raja (Tamil: ராஜா) is a 1972 Indian Tamil film, directed by C. V. Rajendran. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Jayalalithaa, S. V. Ranga Rao and K. Balaji in lead roles. The film had musical score by M. S. Viswanathan. The film was a remake of Hindi film Johny Mera Naam.

Beed

Beed (Marathi:बिड) (Urdu:بیڑ) is a city in central region of Maharashtra state in India. It is the administrative headquarters and the largest city with a population of 146,709 in Beed district. Nearly 36% of the district’s urban population lives in the city alone. It has witnessed 6.1% population growth during 2001 – 2011 decade.

Its official name is Beed, though; Bhir, Bir, Bīr, Bid or Bīd is also seen in official and unofficial usage. Encyclopædia Britannica refer it as Bhir, Encyclopedia Encarta as Bīr and Google Maps as Bir while it is found at World Gazetteer as Bīd.

Beed's early history is obscure. Historians speculate; based on archaeological remains, that the city might have been founded by the Yadava rulers (1173–1317) of Devagiri (Daulatabad). Beed was a part of the State of Hyderabad (Asaf Jahi Kingdom) of Nizams in British India. Operation Polo, the code name of the Hyderabad "Police Action" was a military operation in September 1948 in which the Indian Armed Forces invaded the State of Hyderabad and overthrew its Nizam, annexing the state into the Indian Union. Beed remained in annexed Hyderabad state until 1956 when it was included in Bombay Presidency. On May 1, 1960 Maharashtra state was created on linguistic basis and Marathi dominant Beed district became part of Maharashtra.

Bar (TV Slovenia)

Bar is a reality show aired by the commercial television station POP TV, in which contestants live in the same house for three months and compete against each other to see who can run a bar the best. With a small payment, viewers can follow the events of the show live on the show's website, as more than 20 cameras follow the everyday lives of the contestants. POP TV plays a recap of the day's events every evening except Sundays.

Each Wednesday, competitors rate each other's performance by assigning each other either pluses or minuses. The competitor who receives the most minuses, and the contestant chosen by the one with the most pluses, find themselves in the "hot seat" and must compete against each other on Saturday night. Viewers vote by telephone which one of the contestants will remain in the show. The competitor with the lowest number of votes must leave the bar. The bar manager directs the competitors.

Season 1

Competitors have run the local AS Lounge in Knafelj underpass in Ljubljana. The bar manager was Gaber Žgavc, the host is Bastjan Kepic .

Bar, Corrèze

Bar is a French commune in the Corrèze department in the Limousin region of central France.

The inhabitants of the commune are known as Barois or Baroises.

Geography

Bar is located some 40 km north-east of Brive-la-Gaillarde and 8 km north of Tulle. Access to the commune is by the D53 road which branches from the D1120 west of the commune and passes through the narrow neck of the commune before continuing north as the D32 to Orliac-de-Bar. The D53 also continues south from the village through the heart of the commune to Gimel-les-Cascades. The D23 comes from Tulle in the south and passes through the commune and the village continuing north-east to join the D26 near Corrèze. The D173 comes from Le Lonzac in the north down the western arm of the commune and passes south to join the D53 in the commune. Apart from the village there are the hamlets of Cousin Haut and Cousin Bas in the western arm of the commune. The commune is mixed forest and farmland with forests predominant.

The Corrèze river flows from the north-east of the commune forming part of the north-eastern border then continuing west then south through the commune to form part of the southern border before continuing south-west to eventually join the Vézère west of Brive-la-Gaillarde. The Vimbelle river forms the eastern border of the western arm of the commune flowing south to also form the south-western border of the commune before it joins the Corrèze on the southern border of the commune. The Menaude river flows from the north through the commune to join the Vimbelle on the western border. The Ruisseau du Passadour forms the western border of the eastern arm of the commune as it flows south to join the Menaude.

Medal bar

A medal bar or medal clasp is a thin metal bar attached to the ribbon of a military decoration, civil decoration, or other medal. It is most commonly used to indicate the campaign or operation the recipient received the award for, and multiple bars on the same medal are used to indicate that the recipient has met the criteria for receiving the medal in multiple theatres.

When used in conjunction with decorations for exceptional service, such as gallantry medals, the term "and bar" means that the award has been bestowed multiple times. In the example, "Group Captain Leonard Cheshire, VC, OM, DSO and Two Bars, DFC", "DSO and two bars" means that the Distinguished Service Order was awarded on three separate occasions. A common British convention is to indicate bars by the use of asterisks; thus, DSO** would denote a DSO and two bars.

Bars are also used on long service medals to indicate the length of service rendered.

The two terms are used because terms "bar" and "clasp" both refer to two parts of the medal; the indicator discussed in this article, and the part of the medal connected to the ribbon.
