Qasim Khan

Qasím Khan (or Qasim of Kasimov) (died 1469) was the first khan of the Qasim Khanate, a Tatar khanate since the 1450s. He was the son of Kazan khan Oluğ Möxämmäd.

He participated in the battles of Belyov in 1437 and of Suzdal in 1445. After the treaty of Suzdal, he and his brother Yaqub were sent to Moscow to control the results of the treaty. He stayed at the palace of Vasili II of Russia to serve him. In 1449 at the Pakhra river he defeated troops of Sayed Akhmad, the khan of the Great Horde, that came to conquer Muscovy. In 1447–1453 he supported Vasili in his struggle against Dmitry Shemyaka. In 1452 Vasili II granted him a principality in Ryazan Principality, in territory formerly of Mishar Yurt, as a hereditary estate and Kasimov city. Those lands were designated the Qasim Khanate. Being the khan of Kasimov, he also struggled for Kazan's throne.

Qasim Khan (date of birth unknown) is an Afghan cricketer. Khan is a right-handed batsman who fields as a wicket-keeper.

Khan made his Twenty20 debut for the Afghan Cheetahs in the Faysal Bank Twenty-20 Cup against Rawalpindi Rams. He played in the Cheetahs two other fixtures in that competition, against Faisalabad Wolves and Multan Tigers.

The family of Imran Khan (Urdu: خاندان عمران خان‎), a Pakistani politician, former captain of Pakistan cricket team and public figure, includes immediate family members and distant relatives from both the paternal and maternal sides. Khan was born on 5 october 1952 in Lahore to father Ikramullah Khan Niazi, a civil engineer, and mother Shaukat Khanum. He grew up as the only son in the family, with four sisters. The family are ethnically of Pashtun origin. Paternally, Khan belongs to the Niazi Pashtun tribe which has long been settled in Mianwali in northwestern Punjab. Khan's mother hailed from the Burki Pashtun tribe settled in Jalandhar (Punjab), which had emigrated a few centuries ago from South Waziristan in the tribal areas of northwest Pakistan. Khan's maternal family has produced several great cricketers, the most prominent of whom are Javed Burki and Majid Khan.

From 1995 to 2004, Imran Khan was married to Jemima Khan, a British writer and activist, and member of the influential Goldsmith family of England. They have two sons from the marriage, Sulaiman Isa Khan (born 1996) and Qasim Khan (born 1999). The marriage ended amicably in divorce in 2004. In early 2015, Khan announced his marriage to the British Pakistani journalist Reham Khan. The marriage lasted nine months and ended in divorce on 30 October 2015.
