Purna is a town with a municipal council in Parbhani district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Purna is one of eight Talukas in Parbhani District in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a town in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra.
Purna is situated approximately at the centre of Maharashtra. The state capital, Mumbai, lies to the west. The nearest major cities are Aurangabad, Parbhani and Nanded. Purna is 240km from Aurangabad, 42km from Parbhani and just 34km from Nanded. Purna is well connected by rail and road to other major cities in Maharashtra and even in the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh. Purna is an important railway junction on the Mumbai-Purna-Secunderabad lines. Nanded has the nearest airport which is just 40 km from Purna. The other airport nearby is in Aurangabad where domestic as well as some international flights are scheduled on regular basis.
The Purna River is a river of Western India. It is one of the chief tributaries of Tapti river and empties in it at Changdev in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
It rises in the eastern Satpura Range of southern Madhya Pradesh state, and flows westward, draining Maharashtra's Marathwada, Vidarbha region before emptying into the Arabian Sea.
