Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.

Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. is the first release by American metal band Slipknot. Released originally on October 31, 1996, it was limited to production of 1,000 copies. The band originally self-distributed some of these copies, but went on to release the remaining units through -ismist Recordings in 1997. Due to its limited release, the album has become much sought by fans since Slipknot's rise in fame.

Despite considering it their first album upon release, the band now considers Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. to be a demo and have evolved and released the majority of the songs on future releases, albeit usually in radically altered forms. It was recorded in Des Moines, Iowa, over a period of four months. The music of the album contains many influences including funk, jazz, and disco which weren't as apparent in later material. Many of the lyrics and the album's title are derived from the role playing game Werewolf: The Apocalypse. The songs contain an "emphasis on non-traditional songwriting" and melodic themes more than subsequent releases.

    Colonist (The X-Files)

The Colonists are an extraterrestrial species in the science fiction television show, The X-Files, as well as the first X-Files feature film. The mystery revolving around their identity and purpose is revealed across the course of the series. In the series' plot, the Colonists are collaborating with a group of United States government officials known as the Syndicate in a plan to colonize the Earth, hence their name.

    Character arc

According to the series mythology, an extraterrestrial lifeform, known in the series' mythology simply as the Colonists, were originally present on Earth in the early stages of human evolution. They highly resemble the well-known "grey aliens" in their mature form. In their immature stage, they are more yellowish colored, tall, and very aggressive, possessing fangs, claws and scale-like texture of their skin. This immature form is a protective stage, able to viciously defend itself from birth. This outer skin is eventually shed when the alien develops into its mature form. The immature form resembles that of a reptilian extraterrestrial and is referred to as the "long-clawed" form.

Her eyes on the Channel 4
I want to see this place fucking move
One two three now, now, now, now, now
Maze, psychopathic daze, I create this waste
Back away from tangents, on the verge of drastic ways
Can't escape this place, I deny your face
Sweat gets in my eyes, I think I'm slowly dying
Put me in a homemade cellar
Put me in a hole for shelter
Someone by me please, all I see is hate
I can hardly breathe, and I can hardly take it
Hands on my face, overbearing I can't get out
Hands on my face, overbearing I can't
Lost, run at my own cost, fearing laughter, scoffed
Running from the rush, detached from such and such
Bleak all around me, weak, listening, incomplete
I am not a dog, but I'm the one you're dogging
I am in a buried kennel
I have never felt so final
Someone find me please, losing all reserve
I think I'm gonna go crazy
Hands on my face overbearing, I can't get out
Hands on my face overbearing, I can't
You all stare, but you'll never see, something inside me
You all stare, but you'll never see, something inside me
You all stare, but you'll never see, something inside me
You all stare, but you'll never see, there's something in you I despise
    Cut me, show me, enter
I am willing and able and never any danger to myself
Knowledge of my pain, knowledge of my pain
Or was my tolerance a phase? Empathy, out of my way
    I can't die, I can't die
    I can't die, I can't die
You all stare, but you'll never see, something inside me
You all stare, but you'll never see, something inside me
You all stare, but you'll never see, something inside me
You all stare, but you'll never see, there's something in you I despise
    Despise, despise
    Purity, purity, purity, purity
    Purity, purity, purity, purity
    Have you ever seen God?
    Have you ever seen God?
    Have you ever seen God?
