Pupa (gastropod)
Pupa is a genus of small sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Acteonidae.
The genus is named Pupa because the shell of these snails resemble an insect pupa in overall shape. The animal has a large headshield with a deep median slit, separating it into two posteriorly projecting lobes.

According to the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS), the following species are included within the genus Pupa:
- Distribution : South Africa, Red Sea, Indo-Pacific
- Length : 11-20 mm
- Description : cream-colored shell with horizontal spiraled patterns (dark brown, light brown or greenish) without dark borders; sharp apex
- Distribution : Japan, tropical Indo-West Pacific
- Length : 25 mm
- Description : headshield flaps cover the opening of the mantle cavity; white-colored with many orange-red spots in spiraling bands
Pupa (manga)
Pupa (Japanese: ピューパ, Hepburn: Pyūpa) is a 2011–2013 Japanese horror manga series written and illustrated by Sayaka Mogi. An anime television series adaptation produced by Studio Deen premiered on January 9, 2014.
Plot
The story of Pupa is about two teenagers, Utsutsu and his little sister Yume. Their father was an extremely abusive man, beating their mother and then his children after he was fired. After a divorce, their mother began dating another man, and the father left the two kids alone. Now orphaned, Utsutsu promised himself that he would always protect Yume.
After seeing red butterflies, these two siblings become infected with a virus known as Pupa. This virus mutates organisms into insatiable monsters, only seeking to feed on any sort of life. Yume succumbs to the full effects of the Pupa virus, but reverts into a human. Utsutsu, instead of turning into a monster, gains regenerative powers. In order for the virus to be suppressed in Yume, Utsutsu must take a drug and have Yume feed on his flesh.

Style
Whip is a slotted dance similar to West Coast Swing. Because of cross-pollination, the two dances may look pretty similar. Some say that Whip is more sensual and uses more body work (body rolls, body waves, etc.), while West Coast Swing puts more emphasis on footwork. However this may well be attributed to the prevalent music used: with slower music, proficient "Westies" may become extremely sensual. It is mainly used with songs that have a trap style beat with repetitive rhythms.

The King of Fighters fighting game series, produced by SNK Playmore, includes a wide cast of characters, some of which are taken from other SNK games. The story takes place in a fictional universe in which an annual series of 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 fighting tournaments are held.

In The King of Fighters 2003, a new character named Ash Crimson enters the tournament, to steal the powers of the clans who sealed the Orochi in the past for an unknown reason. A new group of antagonists, known as Those From the Past, also appears in the series; they want to obtain Orochi's power for the purpose of giving it to their unknown master.
