Provision (album)
Provision is the third album by the British pop group Scritti Politti, release in June 1988.
The album was the band's second top ten hit in the UK, reaching #8, and was certified Gold by the BPI for 100,000 copies shipped.
The track "Oh Patti (Don't Feel Sorry for Loverboy)" features Miles Davis on trumpet, whose 1986 album Tutu included a cover of Scritti Politti's "Perfect Way" from Cupid & Psyche 85. The track "Boom! There She Was" features Roger Troutman on talk box vocals. The track "Best Thing Ever" was previously released on the soundtrack of the 1987 film Who's That Girl. In an interview with David Gamson, "Provision took an incredibly long time to make. The initial drum tracks were all recorded with the Synclavier and at that point the Synclav's sequencer was extremely primitive. Lots of inputing kick and snare hits via SMPTE numbers rather than beats and bars. Ultimately, I think we kinda lost the forest for the trees on that album."

! is an album by The Dismemberment Plan. It was released on October 2, 1995, on DeSoto Records. The band's original drummer, Steve Cummings, played on this album but left shortly after its release.

Album
Albums of recorded music were developed in the early 20th century, first as books of individual 78rpm records, then from 1948 as vinyl LP records played at 33 1⁄3 rpm. Vinyl LPs are still issued, though in the 21st century albums sales have mostly focused on compact disc (CD) and MP3 formats. The audio cassette was a format used in the late 1970s through to the 1990s alongside vinyl.
An album may be recorded in a recording studio (fixed or mobile), in a concert venue, at home, in the field, or a mix of places. Recording may take a few hours to several years to complete, usually in several takes with different parts recorded separately, and then brought or "mixed" together. Recordings that are done in one take without overdubbing are termed "live", even when done in a studio. Studios are built to absorb sound, eliminating reverberation, so as to assist in mixing different takes; other locations, such as concert venues and some "live rooms", allow for reverberation, which creates a "live" sound. The majority of studio recordings contain an abundance of editing, sound effects, voice adjustments, etc. With modern recording technology, musicians can be recorded in separate rooms or at separate times while listening to the other parts using headphones; with each part recorded as a separate track.

Provision (contracting)
In United States government contracting, a provision or solicitation provision is a written term or condition used in a solicitation. A provision applies only before a contract is awarded to a vendor. This distinguishes provisions from clauses, which apply after contracts are awarded (and possibly before). Of means by which referring to the absolute security of one provision that it may be acceptable for ones job to be discriminated against the cort; providing the right evidence is given.

Provision (musical group)
Provision is an electronic music group based in Houston, Texas. Provision was founded in November 2000 by Breye Sevenex (formerly of U-N-I and Bamboo Crisis) and Leslie Hyman (formerly of U-N-I and Wraith).
History
With 10 years of experience in former electronic acts under their belt, Hyman and Sevenex chose to infuse elements of classic electronic dance (Hi-NRG, Italo disco), industrial dance (EBM) and synthpop to create what was called "The Provision Sound". Provision's music was initially self-described as "electronic dance music with an edge".
In September 2012, with the coming of their fifth full-length LP, lead singer Breye Sevenex coined the term "Darkpop" to describe Provision's unique style of cultured synthpop, industrial dance and darkwave ambiance.
Provision has performed live at many electronic music festivals including Gothcon II, Synthcon 2002, ADD2K4, ADD2K5, ADD2K6, SiNthetik Sk13s II, III & IV,
Electro-Nexus, Summer Synthpop Festival 2003, Synthfest 2004, Texas Industrial Fest I, TERRORBYTE I, and as a vendor for A Different Drum at Convergence X, and as a performer at Convergence XIX.
