List of Kanon episodes

The Kanon anime, which encompasses two television series produced by different studios and an original video animation (OVA), is based on the visual novel Kanon by the Japanese visual novel brand Key. The story follows the main character Yuichi Aizawa, who has returned to the town where seven years ago he would spend his school vacations. As he used to do back then, he is living with his aunt Akiko Minase and his cousin Nayuki, but has forgotten many of the details regarding his previous visits. Over the course of the series Yuichi slowly regains these memories as he meets new friends and is reacquainted with others from his past.

Thirteen episodes were produced for the first Kanon anime series by Toei Animation and directed by Takamichi Itō. The episodes were broadcast between January and March 2002, and were later released to Region 2 DVD between April and October 2002 by Frontier Works. Spanning seven volumes, each volume contained two episodes except the first which had one. The series was re-released as a seven-disc DVD box set in December 2004 by Frontier Works in limited and regular editions in Japan. In March 2003, an OVA episode, Kanon Kazahana, was released on DVD. It was also produced by Toei Animation and directed by Takamichi Itō.

Kanon (music manga)

Kanon (花音, Kanon, lit. Sound of flower) is a Japanese music manga written and illustrated by Chiho Saito. It was serialised by Shogakukan in Amici from 1995 to 1997 and collected in six bound volumes. Kanon received the 1997 Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo manga. The manga is licensed for a French-language release in France by Star Comics.

Plot

Budding composer Tendou Kawahara flees to Mongolia after being belittled by renowned composer Gen Mikami. In Mongolia, Tendou meets Kanon, a Japanese girl who has a talent for playing the violin. After her mother's untimely death, Kanon moves to Japan with Tendou in search of her father. Tendou attempts to bring out Kanon's talent without success. Soon after, Kanon's mother's sister gives Kanon 3 pictures of her possible father. One of them dies of a heart attack soon after, another is homosexual and a third, Kent Gregory, lives in the United States and has been gravely ill for a long time.

Ultimately, Kanon goes to the United States, only to find Kent on his deathbed. Following his funeral, she returns to Japan. There an unusual twist is discovered; none of the three people Kanon sought is her father. However, Gen Mikami decides he wants Kanon as one of his musicians. After losing in a challenge to Mikami, Tendou enrolls Kanon in a music school where Mikami is the manager. There, Kanon falls in love with Mikami, only to learn that he is her father.

Promise (Romeo Santos song)

"Promise" is a Latin pop song by Romeo Santos featuring Usher, from Santos' debut album Formula, Vol. 1 (2011). The track was co-written and produced by Rico Love. It was released as the album's second single in Latin America and the United States.

The song combines elements of bachata and R&B and peaked atop the Billboard's Latin Songs chart, becoming the second consecutive number-one song in the chart for Santos and the first for Usher. The music video for "Promise" was directed by Anthony Mandler, who previously worked with Rihanna, Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Background

After the temporary separation of the band Aventura, Romeo Santos signed a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment and recorded his debut solo album, Formula, Vol. 1, which includes most of the tracks in bachata rhythm and bilingual songs such as the lead single "You", which peaked at number-one in the Billboard Latin Songs, and "Promise", with vocals by American singer-songwriter Usher. The collaboration came through because Santos' manager Johnny Marines introduced Usher to Santos. Usher was impressed by Santos ability to perform after seeing him on YouTube, saying: "This is the thing that people will remember." "Promise" was co-written and produced by Rico Love and features Usher singing on bachata rhythm for the first time. According to Carlos Quintana of About.com the song and the rest of the tracks included on Formula, Vol. 1 may be classified as Latin urban contemporary with R&B and Hip-Hop influences. The track was named "fluttering" by Mikael Wood of Entertainment Weekly on his review of the parent album.

I Got a Boy

I Got a Boy is the fourth Korean studio album (sixth overall) by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. It was released on January 1, 2013, by S.M. Entertainment. According to Billboard, the album contains "polished K-pop confections" that combines many different musical elements such as 1980s new wave, electronic dance music, and modern R&B, that would appeal to not just K-Pop fans but also other listeners of popular music as well.

This album is really different from our usual ones. It’s like challenging a person’s limits. I’m looking forward to what the fans will think, and because it’s still a secret amongst us, I just feel nervous.

After the group's label S.M. Entertainment revealed the group intended to return in January 2013, MBC announced on December 11, 2012, that the group would be receiving a separate broadcast depicting the album process in preparation of the album's release in January 2013.

The single track, "Dancing Queen", was released on December 21, 2012. The title track, "I Got a Boy", was released digitally on January 1, 2013. The full album was released on January 2, 2013.

Promise Jason Jamal Shepherd, professionally known as Promise, is a Canadian hip hop soul artist and songwriter from Toronto. He is currently a member of the group Perfeck Strangers, based in Scarborough, Ontario. Promise has collaborated with many artists, including Jhené Aiko, Lecrae, Manafest, Andy Mineo, Marco Polo, eLZhi of Slum Village and Royce Da 5'9" of Slaughterhouse. He has also collaborated with fellow Toronto native Drake, whom he met on the set of Degrassi: The Next Generation.
