Pop Plus

Pop Plus was a free-to-air British satellite television channel owned by CSC Media Group. It was licensed to air animation and music, and operated as a sister channel to the already-existing Pop. The channel operated the same broadcast hours as its sister channel (6am to 8pm at the time; Pop later expanded to its current 24-hour service) and was not a direct timeshift of its sibling, instead offering an alternative mix of the channel's content. (At one point the arrangement was that whilst Pop was showing music Pop Plus would show cartoons, and vice versa, but this was not always the case).

Pop Plus launched on 8 September 2003, and closed down on 27 July 2004. The station's capacity was used to launch the preschool-oriented Tiny Pop. This allowed the main Pop to refocus on slightly older children and reduce its use of preschooler shows.

Pro Plus (company)

Pro Plus is a Slovenian multimedia company (d.o.o.) for television management, television productions, films of international studios and sales of television advertising time. Pro Plus operates the commercial television programs Pop TV, Kanal A, Brio, Oto and Kino, the media web site 24ur.com, the specialized web sites Zadovoljna.si, Bibaleze.si, Cekin.si, Vizita.si, Frendi and Flirt, Moškisvet.com, Okusno.je and Dominvrt.si.

In September 2011 Pro Plus also launched the first Slovenian S-VOD (subscription video on demand) service called Voyo, a multiplatform service with varied contents.

Since 2009 its director general is Pavel Vrabec, formerly manager of various Slovenian radio stations before joining Pro Plus in 1996.

Commercial TV stations

POP TV is a Slovenian commercial television station operated by Pro Plus It is the TV channel with the highest ratings in Slovenia for 2013.

Kanal A is the first commercial television station in Slovenia with national coverage. In its primary target group of viewers (18–49 years), Kanal A is the second most watched TV programme in Slovenia.
