Regina (Monterrey Metro)

The Regina Station (Spanish: Estación Regina) is a station on Line 2 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located along Alfonso Reyes Avenue where it is intersected by Juan Sánchez Azcona street.

This station is three blocks away from the Monumental Monterrey (Monterrey's main Bullfighting ring) and across the street from the Coca-Cola bottler. Its logo represents the architecture of the station's entrance, and it is accessible for people with disabilities.

This station was inaugurated on October 31, 2007. It was part of the first stage of the Line 2 expansion (along with Niños Heroes Station and Universidad), being the only underground station of the Line 2 extension project.

Regina (electoral district)

Regina was a federal electoral district in Saskatchewan, Canada, that was represented in the Canadian House of Commons from 1908 to 1935.

This riding was created in 1907 from parts of the former Northwest Territories ridings Assiniboia West and Qu'Appelle ridings. It initially consisted of a part of Saskatchewan stretching from the south boundary of the province.

The riding was abolished in 1933 when it was redistributed into Lake Centre, Qu'Appelle, and Regina City ridings.

Vox (Spanish political party)

Vox (often stylized as VOX) is a political party in Spain founded on 13 December 2013 by former members of the People's Party (PP).

History

It was founded on 17 December 2013, and publicly launched at a press conference in Madrid on 16 January 2014. The reasons for this schism seem to be the way the incumbent PP government dealt with the issue of the violence of separatist group ETA, the fiscal policy of the PP and the desire for a more centralized government in contrast to the current, quasi-federal political system ("State of Autonomies") instituted in 1978. Vox opposes Basque and Catalan separatism in general. VOX have labelled themselves as a right-wing and Christian democratic party. The first provisional chairman was the philosopher José Luis González Quirós (provisional until the party's internal election in late 2014). Other members are Santiago Abascal, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros and José Antonio Ortega Lara (well known for having been kidnapped by ETA for more than a year).

Vox (XM)

VOX was a channel on the XM Satellite Radio service that specialized in classical music of the voice. It was available on channel 112 on XM and channel 865 on DirecTV. The program director for VOX was Robert Aubry Davis. XM Radio Canada added the channel to its lineup on April 1, 2007.

The channel was removed as part of XM's merger with Sirius Satellite Radio on November 12, 2008; Sirius did not have a classical vocal station, but Metropolitan Opera Radio was provided as a partial replacement. Robert Aubry Davis moved to the Symphony Hall channel, where he currently hosts a weekly Vox Choral program on Sunday mornings.

Vox is a musical equipment manufacturer which is most famous for making the Vox AC30 guitar amplifier, the Vox Continental electric organ, and a series of innovative but commercially unsuccessful electric guitars and bass guitars. Founded in Dartford, Kent, England, Vox has been owned by the Japanese electronics firm Korg since 1992.

History

Beginnings

The Jennings Organ Company was founded by Thomas Walter Jennings in Dartford Kent, England after World War II. Jennings's first successful product was the Univox, an early self-powered electronic keyboard similar to the Clavioline.

In 1956 Jennings was shown a prototype guitar amplifier made by Dick Denney, a big band guitarist and workmate from World War II. The company was renamed Jennings Musical Industries, or JMI, and in 1958 the 15-watt Vox AC15 amplifier was launched. It was popularised by The Shadows and other British rock 'n' roll musicians and became a commercial success.
