Pol-Mot Holding

Pol-Mot Holding SA is a Polish holding company based manufacturer of agricultural equipment, including tractors. Pol-Mot was established in 1968; it controlled the whole international trade and collaboration of Polish automotive industry, inclusive with license contracts.

Between 1990 and 1996 it was privatized and diversified its activity, which now includes manufacture of automotive components, tractors and agricultural machines, construction, and - traditionally - sales of cars.

The 14 daughter companies in their majority were either acquired or specially established. Among them are 5 car dealers (makes: Fiat, Iveco, Piaggio, Skoda, MG, Rover), 5 agricultural machinery factories cooperating with Indian Escorts, Swedish Alfa-Laval Agri, Dutch Netagco, and 2 automotive components factories (mechanical car jacks, electrical harnesses, brake & washer fluid reservoirs). Pol-Mot has also acquired some real estate in cooperation with different partners.

4chan

4chan is an English-language imageboard website. Users generally post anonymously, with the most recent posts appearing above the rest. 4chan is split into various boards with their own specific content and guidelines. Registration is not required, nor is it possible (except for staff).

Launched on October 1, 2003, its boards were originally used for posting pictures and discussing manga and anime, as the site was modeled on Japanese imageboards, particularly 2chan. The site quickly became popular and expanded, though much of 4chan's content still features otaku, anime, and other Japanese cultural influences.

The site has been linked to Internet subcultures and activism, most notably Anonymous and Project Chanology. 4chan users have been responsible for the formation or popularization of Internet memes such as lolcats, Rickrolling, "Chocolate Rain", Pedobear and many others. The site's "Random" board, also known as "/b/", was the site's first forum, and is the one that receives the most traffic. As its name suggests, the Random board has minimal rules on posted content. Gawker once jokingly claimed that "reading /b/ will melt your brain". The site's anonymous community and culture have often provoked media attention. For media planners, this enterprise is "further proof that creativity is everywhere and new media is less accessible" to advertisement agencies.

DNA polymerase delta

DNA polymerase delta is an enzyme complex found in eukaryotes that is involved in DNA replication and repair. The DNA polymerase delta complex consists of 4 subunits: POLD1, POLD2, POLD3, and POLD4. DNA Pol δ is the enzyme used primarily for leading and lagging strand synthesis. It exhibits increased processivity when interacting with the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). As well, the multisubunit protein replication factor C, through its role as the clamp loader for PCNA (which involves catalysing the loading of PCNA on to DNA) is important for DNA Pol δ function.

Åmot

Åmot is a municipality in Hedmark county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Østerdalen. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Rena. The parish of Aamot was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt).

General information

Name

The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old Åmot farm (Old Norse: Ámót), since the first church was built here. The first element is á which means "river" and the last element is mót meaning "meeting". (The rivers Glomma and Rena run together here.) Prior to 1921, the name was written "Aamot".

Coat-of-arms

The coat-of-arms is from modern times. They were granted in 1987. The arms show three gold or yellow timber axes on a green background. They symbolize the importance and history of the logging industry in the area.

Geography

Åmot is located in the central part of Hedmark county. It is bordered to the north by Rendalen, to the east by Trysil, to the south by Elverum, to the southwest by Hamar and Ringsaker, and in the west by Stor-Elvdal.
