Plus cards can be linked in the following ways: as a standalone network, linked with a local interbank network and/or linked with any Visa product displaying the Visa flag on the front (Visa, Visa Debit and Visa Electron). Currently, there are 144 million proprietary Plus cards, not including a number of cards which have Plus as a secondary network.
Plus is widely used as a local interbank network most common in the United States where networks such as STAR, NYCE and Pulse also compete. Plus was a German-based international supermarket chain founded in 1972. It operated 2,840 stores in Germany with an approximate 27,000 employees and about 1,200 stores in several other European countries. The retail model was to sell low-cost groceries with no expense incurred for display or marketing of products. Groceries were stored in the shipping cartons they came in, rather than being stacked on shelves. In German advertising, the name "Plus" was used as a backronym for "Prima leben und sparen" (approximately "top-notch living and saving"), featuring animated "little prices" (also sold as plush puppets) as their mascot.
The Edeka Group and the Tengelmann Group entered a joint venture to acquire the Plus supermarket chain on November 16, 2007, which resulted in 70% of Plus supermarkets being owned by the Edeka Group and 30% owned by the Tengelmann Group.
As of January 2009, the stores in the Plus supermarket chain owned by the Edeka group were remodelled into Netto Marken-Discount supermarket chain branches, while the Tengelmann Group's supermarkets were bought by Lidl, Spar, Carrefour, etc.

I'd like to be yours
Tomorrow
So I'm giving you some time
To think it over today
But you can't take my blues away
No matter what you say, hey
You can't take my blues away
No matter what you say
What you say, hey, babe
Hey, babe
What's your thinking
No darlin'
It won't, won't change my mind
But you can't take my blues away
Now tell me what you say, babe
You can't take my blues away
No matter what you say
What you say, hey, babe
This way I feel
I know that's it's true
Because it's for you
You know that it's true
But you try to be
Hard to resist
I ask what it's for
You know you close the door
(No no, no no)
Yeah
(No no, no no)
Tell me what you say, babe
Say, yeah, babe
You can't take my blues away
Tell me what you say
What you say, yeah, babe
I've got the power
Doin' it out
Say anything
'Cause I've got this feeling
Say I
I've got the power
Come on
Yeah
