Pleasure

Pleasure describes the broad class of mental states that humans and other animals experience as positive, enjoyable, or worth seeking. It includes more specific mental states such as happiness, entertainment, enjoyment, ecstasy, and euphoria. The early psychological account of pleasure, the pleasure principle, describes it as a positive feedback mechanism, motivating the organism to recreate in the future the situation which it has just found pleasurable and to avoid situations that have caused pain in the past.

The experience of pleasure is subjective and different individuals will experience different kinds and amounts of pleasure in the same situation. Many pleasurable experiences are associated with satisfying basic biological drives, such as eating, exercise, hygiene, sex or defecation. Other pleasurable experiences are associated with social experiences and social drives, such as the experiences of accomplishment, recognition, and service. The appreciation of cultural artifacts and activities such as art, music, dancing, and literature is often pleasurable.

Pleasure (2013 film)

Pleasure is a 2013 Swedish short film that won the "Semaine de la Critique" also known as the Canal + Award at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Directed by Ninja Thyberg the film tells the story of a girl Marie (played by Jenny Hutton) who agrees to perform a double-anal sex scene in a hard porn video so she will not lose her job. The short film also tells about the darker side of the porn industry. By winning the award the film will be broadcast on Canal + in France.

Agatha is a small genus of minute sea snails or marine gastropod mollusks within the subfamily Syrnolinae, which is a part of the family Pyramidellidae.

They have bilateral symmetry, and only have endoderm and ectoderm tissues.

The species of this genus are ectoparasites on other invertebrates.

It was the name of St. Agatha of Sicily, a third-century Christian martyr. The name has been rarely used in English-speaking countries in recent years. It was last ranked among the top 1,000 names for girls born in the United States during the 1930s.

Russian name

In Russian, the name "Ага́та" (Agata) was borrowed from the Western European languages, and derives from the same Ancient Greek root from which older names Agafya and Agafa also come. Its masculine version is Agat. In 1924–1930, the name was included into various Soviet calendars, which included the new and often artificially created names promoting the new Soviet realities and encouraging the break with the tradition of using the names in the Synodal Menologia.

Its diminutives include Agatka (Ага́тка), Aga (А́га), and Gata (Га́та).
