Pithampur

Pithampur is a town in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is also known as the "Detroit Of India" It is the city in India with largest SEZ(Special Economic Zone) in India. It is the nearest SEZ of the Commercial Capital of M.P., i.e., Indore. Pithampur houses many companies, factories, like Lupin, Ranbaxy, Force Motors, etc. There are new IT Parks, Factories started in 2015. The upcoming projects that will start this year will be Weapons Making Factory, Missile making factories, India's First and Largest Data Centre Park, Solar Energy Plant. These projects have been started in Indore at Pithampur by Ambani Group. Pithampur is the main and most important area for Indore. This small city helped Indore al lot to become the Fastest Growing City Of India.

Pithampur has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%:- male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 47%.
