A handgun is a firearm designed to be handheld, in either one or both hands. This characteristic differentiates handguns as a general class of firearms from long guns such as rifles and shotguns (which usually can be braced against the shoulder).
Major handgun subtypes are the double action and pistol (including single-shot pistols, semi-automatic pistols, and machine pistols); other subtypes include derringers and pepperboxes.
The words "pistol" and "handgun" have overlapping variations in meaning.
Although handgun use often includes bracing with a second hand, the essential distinguishing characteristic of a handgun is its facility for one-handed operation.
The word "pistol" is often synonymous with the word "handgun". Some handgun experts make a technical distinction that views pistols as a subset of handguns. Sometimes in American usage, the term "pistol" refers to a handgun having one chamber integral with the barrel, making pistols distinct from the other main type of handgun, the revolver, which has a revolving cylinder containing multiple chambers. But UK/Commonwealth usage often does not make this distinction. For example, the official designation of the Webley Mk VI was "Pistol, Revolver, Webley No. 1 Mk VI", and the designation "Pistol No. 2 Mk I" was used to refer to both the Enfield Revolver and the later Browning Hi-Power semi-automatic.
Jeremy Lemont Saunders (born June 11, 1983), better known by his stage name 2 Pistols, is an American rapper and songwriter. He hails from Tarpon Springs, Florida. He has released two albums and a number of singles and mixtapes. He signed with Universal in 2007 and his collaboration with T-Pain on the song "She Got It", which peaked at #7 on the Rhythmic Top 40 chart in 2008, and hit #2 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart.
After this he became involved in music promotion and formed a group called BMU, which consisted of other DJs, producers and rappers.
Saunders' first success in rapping had come with a self-released record called "Dirty Foot," which he wrote while still in high school and distributed in the Tarpon Springs area, at the urging of his cousin. After hearing it played in a local dance club and then witnessing another rapper's performance, 2 Pistols had his first chance to perform on-stage. After taking the stage and performing his own single ("Dirty Foot"), 2 Pistols' confidence in his abilities grew to a point that he began to take his chances at making a career of music seriously.
Been in the system for 22 years
It's taken 22 years just to get me where I am today
But I'm so glad I came
Sidney always told me I was shy but now she says I lost my filter
Not an ounce of shame
From the shy guy to the wise guy, but I know I like it better now
If you want to start a revolution
Like I want to start a revolution
Say, "Hey!"
Sometimes I feel like am standing still
But I'm standing still and that's more than many men can say
Silence from their graves
We can work together, push the boundaries back, eliminate the borders
Turn up your speakers
Woofers and tweeters
Beneath the Sheets is... Ready for war!
If you want to start a revolution
Like I want to start a revolution
Say, "Hey!"
And put your pistols to the sky and say,
"We ain't taking no more."
I never knew where daddy came from
So I guess I'll never know my heritage
He wants me to rule this kingdom but I,
I have no leadership qualities
I never knew where momma came from
So I guess I'll never know my heritage
She wants me to rule this kingdom but I,
