Herminio Jose Lualhati Alcasid, Jr. (born 27 August 1967), known as Ogie Alcasid is a Filipino singer-songwriter, television presenter, comedian, parodist, and actor. He is currently the President of OPM (Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-Aawit) and Commissioner of the Edsa People Power Commission.

Early career

Ogie was a former batch member of all male singing group Kundirana batch 1985 after Gary V. in 1985. His first album was released in 1988, followed his 1st movie was Tiny Terrestrial: The Tiny Professors released by OctoArts films in 1991, the same year, Ogie made his VIVA films debut movie, Pitong Gamol released in 1991.

Television career

Alcasid's television career started as one of the hosts of comedy show Small Brothers on ABS-CBN in 1992. He appeared on other comedy programs such as ABS-CBN's Mana Mana (1991–92), ABC's Tropang Trumpo (from 1994–95), GMA Network's Bubble Gang (1995-2013), QTV's Ay, Robot! (2005–07), and a sitcom Show Me Da Manny (2010–11).

Jolina Magdangal

Maria Jolina Perez Magdangal-Escueta (born November 6, 1978) is a Filipina actress, singer, TV host, entrepreneur and former teen idol.

Career

Magdangal started her career by signing with talent agency Star Magic and made her debut on ABS-CBN channel's Ang TV on 1992. In her early years, she worked as a teen idol and also released her own brand of dolls. She was one of the most bankable artist of her generation, having blockbuster movies that was produced by ABS-CBN's film outfit called Star Cinema, commercials and regular TV shows. But from then, In 2002, she parted ways with her network and moved to GMA where she remained for twelve years. She later returned to her home network ABS-CBN in 2014.

Apart from acting, Magdangal is also a pop singer and recording artist. She has released several albums with original OPM songs. Her most notable releases were Jolina (1999) and On Memory Lane (2000) which were certified platinum for selling more than 150,000 copies.

Wyngard Tracy

Wyngard Tracy (February 7, 1952 – November 16, 2010) was a Filipino talent manager who had represented various actors and music artists, such as Side A in the Philippines through his office, Artiststation, Inc. From June 2008, he was one of three judges in Pinoy Idol on GMA Network. He was also the judge of top-rating ABS-CBN shows, Showtime and Magpasikat, but was later evicted.

Tracy was the manager of Richard Gomez, Lucy Torres, Maricel Soriano, Wendell Ramos, John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles.

Biography

Tracy's career began as a television production assistant in the 1970s before becoming a radio disc jockey on DWWK, which was the Philippines' first pop FM station. After a brief DJing stint, he was referred to Vicor Entertainment Corporation and was tapped to manage its roster of recording artists, including Pinky de Leon, Maricris Vermont, and Leah Navarro.

As a businessman, Tracy, together with friends Mark de Leon and Ricky Trinidad, founded "The Music Hall" in Annapolis St. in Greenhills. As a talent manager, he also became one of the judges for Search for the Star in a Million on ABS-CBN in 2005. Tracy even became one of the contestants in the Philippine version of Celebrity Duets on GMA Network, where he was ranked fifth.

Pinoy Idol

Pinoy Idol was a Philippine interactive reality-based singing competition created and developed by FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment which aired on GMA Network. The program originated from Pop Idol created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller, which seeks to discover the best singer or "idol" in the country through a series of nationwide auditions and live performances, which is determined by public voting through SMS. The show "replaced" Philippine Idol, the first Idol franchise in the Philippines broadcast by the Associated Broadcasting Company in 2006.

The show is hosted by Raymond Gutierrez, with Ogie Alcasid (singer, songwriter, and record producer), Jolina Magdangal (singer and actress), and Wyngard Tracy (retired talent manager) as judges. Danny Tan is the show's musical director. The show debuted on April 5, 2008.

Gretchen Espina, daughter of Biliran governor Rogelio J. Espina, defeated two other contenders in the show's Finale to become the first Pinoy Idol. Although she is technically the second winner of an Idol franchise in the Philippines, GMA promoted Pinoy Idol as "the first Idol competition in the Philippines" and does not recognize Philippine Idol and its winner Mau Marcelo.

Raymond Gutierrez

Raymond Gutierrez (born January 21, 1984 in Beverly Hills, California), is a TV host, editor, columnist, endorser and actor in the Philippines. He is best known for hosting Pinoy Idol in 2008. He was one of the hosts of Showbiz Police.

Early life

Raymond Gutierrez was born in Beverly Hills, California to matinee idol Eddie Gutierrez and talent manager Annabelle Rosales Rama Gutierrez. He is the 5th of six siblings. He has an older sister Ruffa Gutierrez a twin brother Richard Gutierrez two older brothers, Rocky Gutierrez and Elvis Gutierrez, and a younger brother Ritchie Paul Gutierrez. He also has two older half-brothers, actors Tonton Gutierrez and Ramon Christopher Gutierrez.

After living for a few years in the Philippines, his family moved to Beverly Hills, California. He attended Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, California.

Personal life

He began acting as a child with his twin Richard. He has also worked with his father and his other siblings in some Filipino movies.
