Pink is a pale red color, which takes its name from the flower of the same name. According to surveys in Europe and the United States, pink is the color most often associated with love, beauty, charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity, and the romantic. When combined with violet or black, it is associated with eroticism and seduction.
Pink was first used as a color name in the late 17th century.

Pink is the tenth album by Japanese experimental band Boris. The album was originally released in 2005 through Diwphalanx Records in Japan and subsequently reissued in 2006 by the US label, Southern Lord Records. Upon release the album received very favorable reviews, largely for taking a more melodic and accessible direction than the band's previous work.
The original version of the album released in Japan in 2005 presents itself with a different cover (shown on the right side), track names, and length. All of these elements were subsequently modified on the first reissue of the album. The album's length was extended significantly on the LP version of the album. Additionally, a music video was shot for the title track which was limited to 100 copies on DVD. Since then, the music video has been included in the limited edition of the album Smile, also published by Southern Lord.
The full-length version of the track "Farewell" from the vinyl edition appears on Boris / Variations + Live in Japan. It was also re-recorded for the collaborative studio album with Merzbow, Gensho.
The song reached No.27 on the Billboard Hot 100, No.38 in the United Kingdom, and No.19 in Latvia. It also topped the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for four weeks.
The band re-released the song in the United Kingdom in 1999. The re-released version did much better, reaching No.13.
Song structure
The song is highlighted by a harmonica performance by Steven Tyler at the beginning, as well as a strong bass rhythm throughout the song, and a mix of acoustic guitars and jangling electric guitars throughout the verses.
Many of the lines in the verses start with the word "pink" (i.e. "Pink it's my new obsession ", "Pink it's not even a question", "Pink on the lips of your lover", etc.). The song is also highly suggestive, in that the origin of the fascination with pink stems from the admiration of a woman's reproductive organs, particularly the inner side of the outer lips – the "pink in the middle" –, and also the man's penis – "I wanna wrap you in rubber" and "my favorite crayon".
Amp Energy (or simply Amp) is an energy drink brand produced and owned by PepsiCo. At the time of its introduction in 2001, Amp Energy was initially distributed under the Mountain Dewsoft drink brand. Since 2009, it has been produced and labeled under its own stand-alone trademark name. The beverage is packaged in both 16-ounce and 24-ounce cans, and is sold in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. As of 2009, Amp Energy was the number four energy drink brand in the U.S. in terms of overall retail sales.
Flavors
The original formulation of Amp Energy was positioned as a flavor extension of the Mountain Dew brand, and in 2001 its label read "Amp Energy Drink from Mountain Dew". In 2008 the label design was changed to contract the product name to a more concise "Amp Energy", with the Mountain Dew logo being shifted to the lower portion of the cans. In Amp's 2011 redesign, the Mountain Dew logo was taken off the cans completely. According to beverage industry commentators at the time, this labeling update was enacted with the intent of "placing a stronger emphasis on the 'Amp Energy' brand and less on its Mountain Dew roots". Amp Energy Original contains taurine, B-vitamins, guarana, ginseng and maltodextrin. 8.4 fluid ounces of Amp contains 74 milligrams of caffeine.
Amp was a music video program on MTV that aired from 1996 to 2001. It was aimed at the electronic music and rave crowd and was responsible for exposing many electronica acts to the mainstream. When co-creator Todd Mueller (who had worked on this with V. Owen Bush and Amy Finnerty) left the show in 1998, it was redubbed Amp 2.0. The show aired some 46 episodes in total over its 6-year run. In its final two years, reruns were usually shown from earlier years. Amp's time slot was moved around quite a bit, but the show usually aired in the early morning hours on the weekend, usually 2am to 4am. Because of this late night time slot, the show developed a small but cult like following. A few online groups formed after the show's demise to ask MTV to bring the show back and air it during normal hours, but MTV never responded to the requests.
Format
The show was possibly inspired by the underground public access show "TV w/ Ray Cathode" (later named Dizzy TV) that started airing in Manhattan in 1993 and ran from 1993-1999. "TV w/ Ray Cathode" was an underground experimental television show created by Beau Tardy that aired abstract video imagery with electronic music soundtracks by FAX +49-69/450464, Thomas Fehlmann, Sun Electric, The Orb, Aphex Twin, Warp Records and many others. "TV w/ Ray Cathode" show producer Beau Tardy also worked at MTV and was a colleague of Todd Mueller but never worked on AMP.
