Pine Knob

Pine Knob is a downhill ski area in Independence Township, Oakland County, near Clarkston, Michigan (whose post office serves the area). It is best known for its snow-making and marquee run, "The Wall." Pine Knob is the home mountain to a number of local high school ski racing teams, including Clarkston, Detroit Country Day School, Rochester Adams High School, Cranbrook Kingswood, Lake Orion and Rochester.

The property is adjacent to DTE Energy Music Theatre, formerly named Pine Knob Music Theatre, as well as Pine Knob Golf Club and Pine Knob Mansion.

Racing

Beer League - Pine Knob offers Tuesday night beer league racing for adults age 21 and over. The league is sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Co.

Nastar - Nastar is public racing for all age to participate in. Medals are awarded for your handicap level. Nastar at PK is offered on Saturday and Sunday at PK From 1pm to 3pm. Sign up is at the Ski School.

Pine Knob (Pennsylvania)

Pine Knob is a peak in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania. This mountain is a satellite peak of its larger neighbor Blue Knob. At 2,704 ft (824 m) above sea level it is the lesser in elevation when compared to Schaefer Head (2,950 ft), Round Knob (2,791 ft), Cattle Knob (2,842 ft) and Ritchey Knob (2,865 ft). The latter mountain is connected to Pine Knob, the saddle elevation between the peaks is 2,597 ft (792 m)

There are no roads or hiking trails to the top of Pine Knob, the town of Fredericksburg, lies at the foot of the mountain.

There is also a Pine Knob in Fayette County Pennsylvania (2,065 ft).
