Zee Entertainment Enterprises

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) is an Indian media and entertainment company based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is a subsidiary of the Essel Group. The company's founder and managing director is Subhash Chandra and its current CEO, Puneet Goenka. The Company has 35 channels serving Indian content across India and 169 countries.

History

The company was launched on 15 December 1991 and was previously known as Zee Telefilms until 2006, when it was renamed and the news and entertainment units were spun off into four smaller divisions. ZEEL currently operates over 15 different television channels, a cable company Siti Cable, a record label Zee Music Company, a production company and other businesses as well. It has expanded operations abroad, with several of its channels available in the UK and US as well as Africa and Asia.

In 2002 ZEEL acquired a majority stake (51%) in ETC Networks. In 2006, they acquired Integrated Subscriber Management Services Limited and in November 2006, ZEEL acquired an interest (50%) in Taj television TEN Sports.

Pictures is the third album by British-Georgian jazz and blues singer Katie Melua, and was released on 1 October 2007. It was released in the USA on May 5, 2009, with a different album cover.

iTunes early release

On 2 September 2007, iTunes began selling Pictures in many of its locations, including the UK and Australian stores in error, a month before its official release date. Initially, it was unclear if it was in error. However, moderators on Melua's forums had deleted any posts relating to the discussion of the release, and the "tell a friend" link on the UK iTunes Store stated the album would be available on 29 September, suggesting that it should not have been available. Melua's official website also made no mention of an early iTunes release.

Stage 32

Stage 32 is a US-based social network and educational site for creative professionals who work in film, television and theater. As of June 2015, the global web site had more than 400,000 members.

Stage 32 links professionals in the entertainment industry including directors, writers, actors and entertainment staff. It caters to film industry professionals with featured bloggers, online education taught by industry executives, news from Hollywood and filming locations around the world, Stage 32 meetups page, an online lounge and a jobs page that allows members to connect with others on film ventures, along with standard social media functions.

History

CEO and founder, Richard Botto, an Orson Welles fan, drew his inspiration for the name "Stage 32" from the old RKO Soundstage 17 where Citizen Kane was filmed. That sound stage is now Paramount's Stage 32. Botto states that he created Stage 32 in order to connect, to educate, and to increase the odds of success for creative professionals in the film and television industries, regardless of their geographical location. The user community has foreign members but as of 2013, the website is available only in English.
