Photograph (The Verve Pipe song)

Photograph was the very first single released by The Verve Pipe. Although not a mainstream success like their well-known hit "The Freshmen", it did manage to reach the top ten on the hot alternative tracks (then known as the hot modern rock chart), and is often considered to be the band's second biggest hit.

Photograph (Nickelback song)

"Photograph" is a song recorded by Canadian rock band Nickelback. It was released in September 2005 as the first single from their fifth studio album, All the Right Reasons. The song made multiple US and UK top 10 charts, peaking at #1 in several of them.

Music video

The music video begins with Chad Kroeger, the video's protagonist, walking along a lonely, sparsely populated street, holding up a photograph of himself and Nickelback's producer, Joey Moi (who is referred to in the line "what the hell is that on Joey's head?"). As the song progresses to the line "This is where I grew up," he walks to a rusty mailbox, addressed as number 29025. As he speaks of sneaking out, the camera does not show the house itself but does show a view from the inside looking out at him, possibly suggesting someone else lives there now. He continues walking and comes to an older building marked as "Hanna High School" on the front (it's now the Community Services Building: 210 6 Avenue East, Hanna, Alberta, Canada) announcing, "This is where I went to school." He and his three other band members enter the gym with their gear and put on a seemingly impromptu concert alone. During the chorus, two band members go to an old junkyard and reminisce about a field where the rest of the band and their girlfriends are partying. Another experiences a similar event near an abandoned train yard, seeing his old girlfriend (most likely Kim, who was "the first girl I kissed") run near the tracks and kiss his younger self. The Hanna Roundhouse is shown. The camera then switches to flashbacks of various people ("I miss that town, I miss the faces") As the video ends, the flashback people get in their cars to go home as the band finishes the song.

Photograph (Weezer song)

"Photograph" is a song by American alternative rock band Weezer. It is the third and final single from the band's self-titled third album, Weezer. "Photograph" was released as the first single off the album in Japan instead of "Hash Pipe." The song enjoyed only modest success on the radio, peaking at #17 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart.

During many live shows in 2005, the band would close out their first set by having Weezer drummer Patrick Wilson take lead vocals and guitar on "Photograph" while Rivers played drums.

Music video

The music video for the song was directed by Weezer.com webmaster and longtime friend of the band Karl Koch. It consists of footage shot while the band was touring for The Green Album. Among the notable footage is Rivers Cuomo playing soccer, Brian Bell attempting to skateboard and juggle (not at the same time), Patrick Wilson riding a Razor Scooter, a brief clip of the duo from Tenacious D running onstage during a Weezer show and a scene with Rivers playing a prank on new bassist Scott Shriner. Although Mikey Welsh plays bass and sings backup vocals on the studio recording, Shriner is in the video, as Welsh had left the band at that point. During the very end of the video, when Cuomo is playing the prank on Shriner, a demo of "Death & Destruction" can be heard in the background. This song would later surface on the band's next album Maladroit. The video is featured on Video Capture Device, the band's DVD.

Oak

An oak is a tree or shrub in the genus Quercus (/ˈkwɜːrkəs/;Latin "oak tree") of the beech family, Fagaceae. There are approximately 600 extant species of oaks. The common name "oak" may also appear in the names of species in related genera, notably Lithocarpus. The genus is native to the Northern Hemisphere, and includes deciduous and evergreen species extending from cool temperate to tropical latitudes in the Americas, Asia, Europe, and North Africa. North America contains the largest number of oak species, with approximately 90 occurring in the United States. Mexico has 160 species, of which 109 are endemic. The second greatest center of oak diversity is China, which contains approximately 100 species.

Oaks have spirally arranged leaves, with lobate margins in many species; some have serrated leaves or entire leaves with smooth margins. Many deciduous species are marcescent, not dropping dead leaves until spring. In spring, a single oak tree produces both male flowers (in the form of catkins) and small female flowers. The fruit is a nut called an acorn, borne in a cup-like structure known as a cupule; each acorn contains one seed (rarely two or three) and takes 6–18 months to mature, depending on species. The live oaks are distinguished for being evergreen, but are not actually a distinct group and instead are dispersed across the genus.

Oak (RTD)

Oak is an RTD light rail station in Lakewood, Colorado, United States. The station is part of the new W Line which was built as part of the FasTracks expansion. It opened in April, 2013 and is operated by the Regional Transportation District.

Oak (CTA station)

Oak was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's North Side Main Line, which is now part of the Brown Line. The station was located at 319 W. Oak Street in the Near North Side neighborhood of Chicago. Oak was situated south of Division, which closed at the same time as Oak, and north of Chicago. Oak opened in 1906 and closed on August 1, 1949, along with 22 other stations as part of a CTA service revision.
