Phantom (band)

Phantom (Korean: 팬텀) is a South Korea-based hip hop trio consisting of three members: Kiggen, Sanchez and Hanhae. They are managed by Brand New Music and Kim Do-hoon (김도훈)'s Rainbow Bridge World. The group has released three single albums and two mini-albums: Phantom City & Phantom Theory. On 19 May 2014, the group released its first full-length album entitled Phantom Power.

Career

Pre-debut

Sanchez and Kiggen used to work under E-Tribe's Happy Face Entertainment prior to signing with Brand New Music, the latter under the name of "HybReFine," an electronic music project. Kiggen released a studio album on 3 September 2010 called "2010 - Vol. 1." Sanchez was featured in the single "Cosmic Dance" and its accompanying music video. Hanhae was a former Block B trainee under Stardom Entertainment before he joined Brand New Music. He had also been featured in numerous songs in Block B's Zico's mix tapes.

On the 21 August 2011, South Korean rapper and label mate Verbal Jint released the music video teaser for the single "You Look Good," which featured Sanchez being slapped in the face by K-pop singer NS Yoon-G. On the 30th, the whole music video was released. It featured Sanchez and NS Yoon-G alongside Verbal Jint, as well as Hanhae and Kiggen playing secondary roles.

Meowth

Meowth (ニャース, Nyāsu, Nyarth), known as the Scratch Cat Pokémon, has a distinctly feline appearance, resembling a small housecat. It has cream-colored fur, which turns brown at its paws and tail tip. Its oval-shaped head features prominent whiskers, black-and-brown ears, and a koban, a gold oval coin (also known as "charm") embedded in its forehead. Meowth are valued for their ability to collect coins using their signature move, "Pay Day", as it is the only Pokémon that learns it. Meowth's coloration, its love of coins, and its charm indicate that Meowth is based on the Japanese Maneki Neko, a cat-shaped figurine that is said to bring good luck and money to its owner. Aspects of Meowth were drawn from a Japanese myth dealing with the true value of money, in which a cat has money on its head but does not realize it.

Phantom (2013 film)

Phantom is a 2013 American film about a Soviet submarine during the Cold War in the 1960s. Todd Robinson wrote and directed the film. It stars Ed Harris, David Duchovny and William Fichtner.

The film tells the story of a Soviet Navy submarine captain attempting to prevent a war. It is loosely based on the real-life events involving the sinking of the submarine K-129 in 1968.

Plot

Demi (Harris), is a veteran Soviet Navy captain finishing up a career that failed to live up to the legacy of his legendary father. He is given an assignment by Markov (Henriksen) to lead a top secret mission and given the command of his old ship. Due to mistakes he made during his service, involving the deaths of many of his past crew in a fire, this will be his last assignment and his only opportunity to command any ship at all. Demi interrupts a party involving his crew, including Alex Kozlov (Fichtner), his up-and-coming executive officer headed for great success. However, as Demi leaves his home to lead Alex and his crew of on the secret mission, the presence of KGB agent Bruni (Duchovny), and ominous portents, begin to alter the objectives of the mission, causing Demi and Kozlov to become concerned. Furthermore, Markov commits suicide as the submarine departs.

+/- (band)

+/-, or Plus/Minus, is an American indietronic band formed in 2001. The band makes use of both electronic and traditional instruments, and has sought to use electronics to recreate traditional indie rock song forms and instrumental structures. The group has released two albums on each of the American indie labels Teenbeat Records and Absolutely Kosher, and their track "All I do" was prominently featured in the soundtrack for the major film Wicker Park. The group has developed a devoted following in Japan and Taiwan, and has toured there frequently. Although many artists append bonus tracks onto the end of Japanese album releases to discourage purchasers from buying cheaper US import versions, the overseas versions of +/- albums are usually quite different from the US versions - tracklists can be rearranged, artwork with noticeable changes is used, and tracks from the US version can be replaced as well as augmented by bonus tracks.

Rede Bandeirantes

Rede Bandeirantes (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈʁedʒi bɐ̃dejˈɾɐ̃tʃis], Bandeirantes Network), officially nicknamed Band, is a television network from Brazil, based in São Paulo. Part of the Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação, it aired for the first time in 1967. Currently, is the fourth TV network in Brazil by the ratings.

History

Rede Bandeirantes was founded on May 13, 1967, by João Saad, nephew of São Paulo state governor Ademar de Barros and owner of Rádio Bandeirantes. In 1969 the main TV building suffered a massive fire, which forced Saad to replace his broadcasting equipment with new ones. By 1972, TV Bandeirantes was the first Brazilian television network to fully broadcast in color, the same year that Rede Globo did the same. Later in the 1970s Bandeirantes became a national broadcasting network, helped partly by the hit Saturday afternoon program Clube do Bolinha, the Japan-theme program Japan Pop Show and a 2nd wave of drama programs which started in 1979.

Walter Clark took over the network in 1982 and remodeled the station's programming after Rede Globo, while the network's present logo debuted that same year, with Cyro Del Nero as its designer, the very logo was also shown nationwide given the fact that it - together with Rede Globo - had also at the same time began nationwide satellite broadcasting as well. This was also the same year that the network began a 18-year tradition of broadcasting the biannual electoral debates in the local levels.
