Pesse is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is located in the municipality of Hoogeveen.
The village is mainly known for the Pesse canoe, believed to be the world's oldest known boat. Carbon dating indicates that the boat was constructed during the early mesolithic period between 8040 BCE and 7510 BCE. It is currently housed in the Drents Museum in Assen, Netherlands. The canoe was found during the construction of the nearby A28.

People's Education Society Institute of Technology, Bangalore South Campus or PESIT South Campus ( formerly called the PES School of Engineering or PESSE) is a private co-educational engineering college on Hosur Road, Bangalore, India. PESIT South Campus was established in 2005 and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
PESIT South Campus is managed by the People's Education Society (PES), which was founded in 1972, in a rented gymnasium in Bangalore, with around 40 students. P.E.S. currently manages over 45 educational programs in Karnataka and neighboring Andhra Pradesh focused on four main educational areas: Engineering, Medicine, Management and Life Sciences. PESIT South Campus, is the most recent addition to the PES family of educational institutions and received AICTE approval in 2005.
PESIT South Campus is located on Hosur Road and is about a kilometer from Electronic City. Located in the IT capital 7 India-Bangalore, PESIT South is the first academic campus on the IT Corridor of Bangalore City.
