Persija Jakarta

Persatuan Sepak Bola Indonesia Jakarta, commonly known as Persija Jakarta, is a professional football club based in Jakarta, Indonesia. They currently compete in the Indonesia Super League.

History

In the time of the Dutch East Indies, the name of Persija is VIJ (Voetbalbond Indonesische Jacatra). VIJ was one who co-founded the club Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) with the participation of representatives from VIJ, Mr. Soekardi in the establishment of PSSI in Societeit Hadiprojo Yogyakarta, Saturday, 19 April 1930. Post-Republic of Indonesia back to the Unitary State, VIJ renamed to Persija (Football Association of Indonesia, Jakarta). At that time, NIVU (Nederlandsch Indisch Voetbal Unie) as a rival organization PSSI still exist. On the other side, VBO (Voetbalbond Batavia en Omstreken) as bond (league) match Persija also still exist. Irrespective from the destiny or not, along with the sovereign state of Indonesia, NIVU will inevitably have to disband. The atmosphere eventually spread to their members, such as VBO. In the middle 1951, VBO held a meeting to dissolve itself (liquidation) and recommends itself to joined Persija. In the development, VBO joined Persija. In the triangular tournament friendlies, the combined players who are members of the Indonesian nation Persija "new" is confronted with Netherlands and Chinese. Here's the result: Persija (Indonesia) vs Netherlands 3–3 (29 June 1951), Chinese vs Netherlands 4–3 (30 June 1951), and Persija (Indonesia) vs Chinese 3–2 (1 July 1951). All games took place in the field BVC Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta.

Persija Jakarta (IPL)

Jakarta FC is in the rebel league (back then) of Liga Primer Indonesia (LPI) which wasn't recognized by PSSI, AFC, and FIFA, in 2011. After the league disbanded and dualism ensues in Indonesia football, the club management decided that they want to rename themselves into Persija Jakarta and thus becoming the clone of an already established Persija Jakarta that competed in the Indonesian Super League. On 25 March 2013, the club disbanded because it is no longer recognized by the PSSI.

Jakarta /dʒəˈkɑːrtə/, officially known as the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (Indonesian: Daerah Khusus Ibu Kota Jakarta), is the capital and largest city of Indonesia, (though Jakarta is also a province) and one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world.

The city is currently the seat of the ASEAN Secretariat as well as houses important financial institutions such as the Bank of Indonesia, the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the corporate headquarters of numerous Indonesian companies and multinational corporations. Jakarta's business opportunities, as well as its potential to offer a higher standard of living, attract migrants from all over Indonesia, making the city a melting pot of many communities and cultures.

Jakarta!

Jakarta! is the first novel by writer Christophe Dorigné-Thomson published by the Indonesian media conglomerate Kompas Gramedia Group in 2012.

Jakarta! was widely promoted in the media and endorsed by major Indonesian figures such as businessman and owner of football club Inter Milan Erick Thohir, businessman Sandiaga Uno, politician Irman Gusman, Minister of Education Anies Baswedan or actor Rio Dewanto.

The novel tells the story of a young European who travels the world on missions paid by governments or multinationals to kill high-level targets. The book is in fact a disguised essay on geopolitical shifts and their consequences.
