Sounds of the Universe

Sounds of the Universe is the twelfth studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode, released on 17 April 2009 by Mute Records. It was supported by the 2009–10 concert tour Tour of the Universe. Three singles were released from the album; "Wrong", "Peace", and a double A-side of "Fragile Tension" and "Hole to Feed". "Perfect" was also released in the US as a promotional single.

As with the previous album, Playing the Angel, Dave Gahan has once again written three songs with Christian Eigner and Andrew Phillpott: "Hole to Feed", "Come Back" and "Miles Away/The Truth Is". "Spacewalker" and the bonus track "Esque" are instrumentals. Martin Gore shares lead singing duties with Gahan on "In Chains", "Peace" and "Little Soul", he sings the lead of "Jezebel" and the B-side "The Sun and the Moon and the Stars" on the second disc of the deluxe box set. The B-side "Oh Well" is the first track ever to be co-written by Gore and Gahan. The final track "Corrupt" is followed by a short hidden instrumental version of the song "Wrong".

Revival (Selena Gomez album)

Revival is the second solo studio album by American singer Selena Gomez. It was released on October 9, 2015, by Interscope and Polydor Records. Gomez began planning the project in 2014, at which time she left her previous label Hollywood Records and subsequently joined Interscope and Polydor, and continued work into 2015. As executive producers, Gomez, Danny D, and Tim Blacksmith collaborated with producers including Hit-Boy, Rock Mafia, and Stargate to achieve her desired new sound. Their efforts resulted in a primarily pop record, with elements of dance-pop, electropop, and R&B connected by a tropical beach sound and lyrics that discuss love and confidence.

The record was inspired by the work of a range of artists, especially Christina Aguilera's sophomore studio album Stripped (2002), and Gomez's trip to Mexico, where she defined the album's sound. Working with a handful of songwriters, Gomez co-wrote eleven out of the sixteen tracks that made the album's tracklists. The album reflects her journey since 2013, including the media scrutiny on her personal life, of which her highly public relationships and personal issues.

Georgetown, Connecticut

Georgetown is a village and census-designated place in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is located at the point where the towns of Wilton, Redding, Ridgefield, and Weston meet.

The village and its surrounding area are also defined as the Georgetown census-designated place (CDP). As of the 2010 census, the population of the CDP was 1,805.

Georgetown is located at the southwest corner of the town of Redding, the northwest corner of the town of Weston, the southeast corner of the town of Ridgefield, and the northeast corner of the town of Wilton. Georgetown residents officially live in and pay local taxes to one of these four towns, but typically identify themselves as living in Georgetown. Georgetown has its own fire district, which also serves the surrounding rural areas not traditionally included in Georgetown, and its own ZIP code (06829).

Historic district

On April 9, 1987, the central portion of the village was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places as the Georgetown Historic District. A map shows its approximate location within Georgetown. The historic district is an area of 90 acres (360,000 m²) that includes the Gilbert and Bennett manufacturing plant, institutional housing built for the plant workers, and other private homes. The district includes portions of Georgetown in the towns of Redding and Wilton.

Georgetown is a proposed passenger rail station on the Danbury Branch, to be located in Georgetown, Connecticut.

History

Original plans for the station had surfaced in 2009-2010, when a study was conducted to determine the viability of the station. Although plans had gone under for a while, improvements being made to the line by the State of Connecticut could mean a station in the near future.

Georgetown, Massachusetts

Georgetown is a town in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 8,183 at the 2010 census. It was incorporated in 1838 from part of Rowley.

History

Georgetown was originally settled in 1639 as a part of the town of Rowley by the Reverend Ezekiel Rogers. The town at the time stretched from the Atlantic coast to the Merrimack River, south of Newbury and north of Ipswich. Several farmers, finding suitable meadowlands in the western half of the settlement, began settling along the Penn Brook by the middle of the seventeenth century, creating Rowley's West Parish. Though not directly involved in King Philip's War, the village nonetheless did become a victim of Indian raids. The village, which became known as New Rowley, grew for many years, with small mills and eventually a shoe company opening up in the town. By 1838, the town was sufficiently large enough for its own incorporation, and was renamed Georgetown. Small industry continued, and today the town is mostly residential in nature, a distant suburb of Boston's North Shore.
