Peg + Cat

Peg + Cat is an American-Canadian animated children's television series based on the children's book "The Chicken Problem", which was published in 2012. The series is created by Billy Aronson and Jennifer Oxley and produced by The Fred Rogers Company and 9 Story Entertainment. It debuted on most PBS stations on October 7, 2013, as part of the revamped PBS Kids brand.

The show is targeted to children 3 to 5 years old. The goal is to "inspire preschoolers’ natural curiosity about math and help them develop new skills and strategies for solving problems creatively in their daily lives." In keeping with the math theme, the animation is presented as if it were drawn on graph paper.

On March 3, 2015, PBS Kids renewed Peg + Cat for a second season, which is slated to air in spring 2016.

Characters

  • Peg - The main character, together with Cat. She is a young girl who wears a red hat and blue dress. She explains the situation in each episode directly to the "camera", announces when they have "a big problem", and reasons out solutions to math-related problems. During songs, she pulls out a ukulele and plays it. She has a special blue marble hidden under her hat. Her favorite crayon is "little bluey". She is voiced by Hayley Faith Negrin.

  • Alpha Andromedae

Alpha Andromedae (Alpha And, α And, α Andromedae), which has the traditional names Alpheratz (or Alpherat from the Arabic word الفرس) and Sirrah (or Sirah), is the brightest star in the constellation of Andromeda. Located immediately northeast of the constellation of Pegasus, it is the northeastern star of the Great Square of Pegasus. Ptolemy considered Alpha Andromedae to be shared by Pegasus, and Bayer assigned it a designation in both constellations: Alpha Andromedae (α And) and Delta Pegasi (δ Peg). When the modern constellation boundaries were fixed in 1930, the latter designation dropped from use.

It is located 97 light-years from Earth. Although it appears to the naked eye as a single star, with overall apparent visual magnitude +2.06, it is actually a binary system composed of two stars in close orbit. The chemical composition of the brighter of the two stars is unusual as it is a mercury-manganese star whose atmosphere contains abnormally high levels of mercury, manganese, and other elements, including gallium and xenon. It is the brightest mercury-manganese star known.

  • Index of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition monsters

This is the Index of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition monsters, an important element of that role-playing game. This list only includes monsters from official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st Edition supplements published by TSR, Inc. or Wizards of the Coast, not licensed or unlicensed third party products such as video games or unlicensed Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition manuals.

    TSR 2009 - Monster Manual (1977)

This was the initial monster book for the first edition of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game, published in 1977. Gary Gygax wrote much of the work himself, having included and expanded most of the monsters from the previous D&D supplements. Also included are monsters originally printed in The Strategic Review, as well as some originally found in early issues of The Dragon (such as the anhkheg and remorhaz), and other early game materials. This book also expanded on the original monster format, such as including the stat lines on the same page as the monsters' descriptions and introducing more stats, expanding the length of most monster descriptions, and featuring illustrations for most of the monsters. The book features an alphabetical table of contents of all the monsters on pages 3–4, explanatory notes for the statistics lines on pages 5–6, descriptions of the monsters on pages 6–103, a treasure chart on page 105, and an index of major listings on pages 106-109.

    Alternative versions of Kitty Pryde

In addition to her mainstream incarnation, Kitty Pryde has had been depicted in other fictional universes.

    Age of Apocalypse

In the Age of Apocalypse reality, Kitty grows up under harsh circumstances and her nature reflects it. She has short hair, tight clothes, and chain smokes cigarettes. Her parents are killed in the Chicago Cullings, and she is forcibly recruited into Apocalypse's army, but is later rescued by Colossus. Magneto puts Shadowcat under Weapon X's training, hoping to turn her into the X-Men's assassin, and she is given a set of retractable artificial claws around each wrist to better imitate her teacher's fighting style. After the fallout between Colossus and Magneto, Shadowcat sides with Colossus, whom she has married. Instead of leaving the fight against Apocalypse altogether, the couple become the teachers of Generation Next. The two submit their trainees to harsh situations, giving them little comfort despite the fact that Shadowcat is close to the age of her students.

    When I Met The Girl

    by: Big Kid

    When I met the girl
    I lost my mind
'Cause she is the only one that turns
    My world upside down
    When I met the girl
    She stole my heart
    Right from the start
I knew she saw right through me, already knew me, makes me crazy, Oh Yeah!
    (chorus)
Girl gives me feelings I never had before
Blushin' under cover, she's like no other
I never had a reason to love like this before
Girl gives me feelings, oh yeah!
'Cause I can't get her out of my mind
I can't get her out of my mind- at all
When I met the girl, she changed my world
She is the only one that turns my world upside down
At the end of the day
    I call her name
Gives me this feeling when she call back, turns her head, smiles at me, oh yeah!
    (chorus
Girl gives me feelings I never had before
Blushin' under cover, she's like no other
I never had a reason to love like this before
Girl gives me feelings, oh yeah!
'Cause I can't get her out of my mind
I can't get her out of my mind- at all
    When I met the girl...
Ask me what I dream of
Ask me what I think of
    When I'm not with you
Ask me what I dream of
Ask me what I think of
    When I'm not with you
    When I'm, not with you
    When I met the girl
    I lost my mind
'Cause she is the only one that turns my world upside
