Peep and the Big Wide World

Peep and the Big Wide World is an Canadian/American produced Flash-animated children's television series created by Canadian Animator Kaj Pindal and based on the 1988 short film Peep and the Big Wide World produced by the National Film Board of Canada, which itself is based on the 1962 short film The Peep Show, also produced by the National Film Board of Canada. The series premiered on April 12, 2004, on Discovery Kids and on TLC as part of their Ready Set Learn children's block, and on the same day as part of PBS Kids. It was produced by WGBH and 9 Story Entertainment. The series ran on April 12, 2004, through October 14, 2011, with 55 episodes produced.

Carriage on the Discovery children's networks ended on October 10, 2010 with the discontinuation of Ready Set Learn and the replacement of Discovery Kids with The Hub. It continues to be offered to public television stations via independent public television distributor American Public Television to the present day. Throughout its run, it has been underwritten by the National Science Foundation, with Northrop Grumman underwriting season four in 2010.

Positive end-expiratory pressure

Positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) is the pressure in the lungs (alveolar pressure) above atmospheric pressure (the pressure outside of the body) that exists at the end of expiration. The two types of PEEP are extrinsic PEEP (PEEP applied by a ventilator) and intrinsic PEEP (PEEP caused by a non-complete exhalation). Pressure that is applied or increased during an inspiration is termed pressure support.

Intrinsic PEEP (auto)

Auto (intrinsic) PEEP — Incomplete expiration prior to the initiation of the next breath causes progressive air trapping (hyperinflation). This accumulation of air increases alveolar pressure at the end of expiration, which is referred to as auto-PEEP.

Auto-PEEP develops commonly in high minute ventilation (hyperventilation), expiratory flow limitation (obstructed airway) and expiratory resistance (narrow airway).

Once auto-PEEP is identified, steps should be taken to stop or reduce the pressure build-up. When auto-PEEP persists despite management of its underlying cause, applied PEEP may be helpful if the patient has an expiratory flow limitation (obstruction).

JSON

JSON (canonically pronounced /ˈdʒeɪsən/ JAY-sən; sometimes JavaScript Object Notation) is an open standard format that uses human-readable text to transmit data objects consisting of attribute–value pairs. It is the most common data format used for asynchronous browser/server communication (AJAJ), largely replacing XML which is used by AJAX.

JSON is a language-independent data format. It derived from JavaScript, but now code to generate and parse JSON-format data is available in many programming languages. The official Internet media type for JSON is application/json. The JSON filename extension is .json.

The JSON format was originally specified by Douglas Crockford. It is described by two competing standards, RFC 7159 and ECMA-404. The ECMA standard describes only the allowed syntax, whereas the RFC also provides some semantic and security considerations.

A typical mashup fetches JSON-format data from several different web servers using an Open API.

History

JSON grew out of a need for stateful, real-time server-to-browser communication without using browser plugins such as Flash or Java applets, which were the dominant methods in the early 2000s.

Json (rapper)

Jason Christopher Watson (born June 22, 1981), who goes by the stage name Json, is an American Christian hip hop musician. He was a member of Christian hip hop collective, 116 Clique.

Early life

Json was born Jason Christopher Watson, in St. Louis, Missouri on June 22, 1981. When he was just three, Json's father died. His mother Barbara moved the family to Los Angeles, California, where his mother became a crack-cocaine addict and was arrested, separating herself from her son because she was forced to move back to St. Louis. Json would soon follow her back to the Midwest city, yet the same fate befell him with drugs and incarceration.

Personal life

He is married his teenage sweetheart Lawanda Nicole "Nikki" Watson (nee, Childress), after both of them sobered up, and gave their lives over to Jesus Christ. Together they reside with their children in Iowa City, Iowa. They are the co-director's of The Spot Outreach Ministry of Parkview Church.

Music career

Json was a member in the Christian hip hop collective 116 Clique. He released The Seasoning in 2005, Life on Life in 2008, City Lights in 2010, Growing Pains in 2012, and Braille in 2013. The last three of those albums charted on various Billboard charts. The rapper plans to release his sixth studio album, No Filter, on March 10, 2015 through Lamp Mode Recordings.

Asshole (album)

Asshole is the second solo album release by Kiss member, Gene Simmons. It was released in 2004 on Sanctuary Records. Due to its controversial title, the album's title does not appear on the front cover of the album. On the side of the CD case the title reads "***hole".

The album contains songs Simmons wrote based on work by Bob Dylan and Frank Zappa, among other musicians, specifically Dave Navarro who plays guitar on the The Prodigy cover "Firestarter".
