Paulo Fonseca

Paulo Alexandre Rodrigues Fonseca (born 5 March 1973) is a former Portuguese professional footballer who played as a central defender, and the current manager of S.C. Braga.

He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 111 games and three goals over the course of seven seasons, most notably with Estrela da Amadora. In 2005, he became a manager.

Playing career

Born in Nampula, Portuguese Mozambique, Fonseca played 14 years as a senior, beginning with F.C. Barreirense in the third division and moving straight to the Primeira Liga with Leça F.C. in the 1995–96 season, starting in 21 of his league appearances as the club finished 14th and narrowly avoided relegation. In the following five years he continued in the latter competition, being first-choice with C.F. Os Belenenses and C.S. Marítimo but only a backup with Vitória S.C. and C.F. Estrela da Amadora.

Fonseca retired in June 2005 at the age of 32 after a further four campaigns with Estrela, three of those spent in the second level. In the 2003–04 campaign he participated in 15 games as the Lisbon side ranked dead last in the main category, with the subsequent relegation.

Nikki and Paulo

Nikki Fernandez and Paulo /ˈpaʊloʊ/ are fictional characters on the ABC drama television series Lost, which chronicles the lives of over forty people after their plane crashes on a remote island somewhere in the South Pacific. American actress Kiele Sanchez and Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro play the survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815.

The couple is introduced early in the third season. The producers of the show were often asked what the rest of the plane-crash survivors were doing because the show only focuses on approximately fifteen of the survivors, and the characters of Nikki and Paulo were created in response. Reaction to the characters was generally negative.Lost's show runner Damon Lindelof even acknowledged that the couple are "universally despised" by fans. As a result of this, the couple was killed off later in the same season. Both Nikki and Paulo are buried alive when they are thought to be dead by Hurley and Sawyer.

Originally from Brazil, Paulo is a con artist working with his American girlfriend Nikki, an actress. Paulo works as a chef for a wealthy television executive in Sydney. Nikki guest stars on the executive's show and also seduces him, which makes Paulo uncomfortable. Paulo murders the executive by poisoning his food, allowing him and Nikki to steal his bag of diamonds, which are worth $8 million. Three days later, on September 22, 2004, Nikki and Paulo board Oceanic Flight 815 to return to Nikki's home in Los Angeles.

Fonseca (album)

Fonseca is the self-titled official debut studio album by Colombian recording artist Fonseca released on February 2002 in Colombia by Líderes Entertainment Group. In 2005 was released by EMI Colombia. The album features the hit singles "Magangue", "Confiésame" and "Noche de Carnaval".

Album information

When Fonseca was searching to get the representation of a label, he found the Colombian musician José Gaviria and helped him in an initial recording with Sonolux five years before. In 2002, he signed with the label Líderes for making three albums. The album according to Colombian newspaper El Tiempo said that is a great debut and it's so influenced by Carlos Vives. The song "Sueño" catches from the start, and "Noche de Carnaval" and "Magangué" are the typical parties songs that can't fail on a pop disc. The Fonseca's voice is uncommon and shows that knows as use it. The most successful song was "Magangué".

Fonseca's self-titled debut gained him considerable attention in Colombia, including the notice of artists Shakira and Juanes, both of whom offered him subsequent collaboration and performance opportunities. Sharing the stage with Shakira on her Tour of the Mongoose and Juanes at Estadio El Campín in Bogota garnered Fonseca the recognition and momentum he would need for his second album.

Fonseca Guimaraens

Fonseca Guimaraens, often simply called Fonseca, is one of the largest Port wine houses in Portugal. Manoel Pedro Guimaraens established the company in 1822 when he acquired control of the Fonseca and Monteiro Company from the Fonseca Family by purchase of the majority of Fonseca owned shares. A condition of the sale of Fonseca's shares was that the name Fonseca remain as the brand name. David Guimaraens, the great-great-great grandson of the founder Manuel Pedro, has been the head winemaker since 1994, and oversees the winemaking and blending for all four Taylor Fladgate Port houses: Taylor Fladgate, Fonseca Guimaraens, Croft, and Delaforce.

Fonseca maintains an estate, Quinta do Panascal, open to the public for tastings and tours. The vineyard Quinta do Panascal in the Douro has been classified as a Grade A producer of grapes. Fonseca currently ships a variety of Ports, including vintage, 10, 20 and 40-year traditional tawnies, a 10-year white tawny, late bottle vintage, non-classic vintages (Quinta do Panascal, Guimaraens Vintage), among others.
