Paul Watson

Paul Franklin Watson (born December 2, 1950) is a marine wildlife conservation and an environmental activist, who founded the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, an anti-poaching and direct action group focused on marine conservation. He is a citizen of Canada and the United States.

The Toronto native joined a Sierra Club protest against nuclear testing in 1969. He was an early and influential member of Greenpeace, crewed and skippered for it, and a founding board member in 1972. He has been credited by The New York Times, The New Yorker and other publications with being a founder of Greenpeace, but Greenpeace denies the claim. However the recent release of the film How to Change the World (film) by Producer Jerry Rathwell documents that Watson was indeed one of the original founding members of Greenpeace. Watson argued for a strategy of direct action that conflicted with the Greenpeace interpretation of nonviolence, was ousted from the board in 1977, and subsequently left the organization. That same year, he formed Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. The group is the subject of a reality show named Whale Wars.

Paul Watson (footballer, born 1975)

Paul Watson (born 4 January 1975 in Hastings) is a former English footballer.

During his career, Watson played for Gillingham, Fulham, Brentford, Coventry City and most notably for Brighton & Hove Albion before dropping into Non-League and playing for Woking, Rushden & Diamonds, Crawley Town and finally Bognor Regis Town.

After retiring from football, Watson studied a part-time course at Brunel University in physiotherapy. Watson was appointed as Brighton & Hove Albion's assistant physiotherapist on 11 June 2009.

Career

Livingston

Former Livingston manager Gary Bollan signed Watson from Ipswich Town in August 2009. He helped Livingston win the Scottish Third Division, in his first season at Almondvale. The next season he helped Livingston win the Scottish Second Division title by making 33 appearances for the West Lothian club. Watson subsequently signed a new two-year contract, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2013.

Raith Rovers

Watson signed for Raith Rovers on 17 July 2013.

On 12 June 2015 it was confirmed that Watson would not be renewing his contract with the club.

Falkirk

On 19th July 2015, it was announced that Watson had joined Falkirk.

Paul "Watty" Watson (born March 16, 1952?) is an American cornetist, guitarist, trumpet player, singer, composer, and songwriter living in Richmond, Virginia. He is best known for his work with The Orthotonics, FSK, Sparklehorse, and Patrick Phelan. He currently plays cornet, provides backing vocals, and writes for the Brooklyn-based band, And the Wiremen.

Watson was born in Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky. He now lives in Virginia.
