Paul Peterson

Paul Peterson (born October 18, 1964), also known as St. Paul Peterson, is a musician best known for his memberships in the bands The Family and The Time. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Peterson was the youngest son in a musical family. He was discovered by Prince in 1983 and groomed to replace Monte Moir as keyboardist of R&B band The Time. Peterson gained exposure when the band appeared in the hit movie Purple Rain.

When The Time broke up in 1984, Prince gathered the remnants to form The Family, with Peterson as lead singer. The group's tenure was brief, performing live only once (at First Avenue, where Purple Rain was filmed). Peterson left to pursue a solo career, releasing his eponymous debut album in 1987. Peterson released two singles, "Intimacy" and "Rich Man" from the album, as well as a video for the latter one. Prince wrote a song about Peterson's early jump from The Family ship called "Dream Factory", which was later released on 1998's Crystal Ball compilation. Peterson released two solo albums in the 1990s on Atlantic Records and a live recording with the group the Minneapolis All-Stars.

Paul Peterson (Canadian football)

Paul Peterson (born c. 1921) was a Canadian football player who played for the Hamilton Flying Wildcats, winning the Grey Cup with them in 1943. He is the last surviving member of the championship team.

Peterborough municipal election, 2006

The 2006 Peterborough municipal election was held in the city of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada on November 13, 2006. All municipal elections in the province of Ontario are held on the same date; see Ontario municipal elections, 2006 for elections in other cities.

The election chose the mayor and city councillors to sit on the Peterborough city council.

Paul Peterson (American football)

Paul Peterson (born July 29, 1980) is a former quarterback for the Boston College Eagles. He was the first Boston College quarterback to start his career 6–0, and compiled a 12–2 record for his career at Boston College, including two bowl victories in the Continental Tire Bowl and the Diamond Walnut San Francisco Bowl. He was named the Big East Offensive Player of the Week twice, the MVP of the Continental Tire Bowl, and BC's team MVP in 2004.

High school

Peterson was an all-state selection as junior and senior at Bingham High School in South Jordan, Utah. He holds the school's single-season record for passing yardage (2,011) and career record for passing yards (3,900). He totaled 38 touchdown passes including 20 in his senior season. He also played baseball and basketball. After high school, Peterson served a two-year Mormon mission in Nicaragua (August 1999–July 2001).

Junior college

Peterson played the 2001 and 2002 seasons at Snow College, a junior college in Ephraim, Utah. In 2001, he threw for 2,518 yards and 20 touchdowns. In 2002, he earned JC Grid-Wire All-America honors and All-Western States Football League first team honors after leading the Badgers to an 8–2 record, throwing for 2,982 yards and 35 touchdowns in 10 games. He led the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in both passing yards and touchdowns.
