Patrick Ferry

The Reverend Dr. Patrick Ferry is the seventh president of Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, Wisconsin, where he has served since August 1997. The University is a higher education institution affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) and is the largest Lutheran school in the United States by enrollment.

Background

Ferry began his career at Concordia University Wisconsin as a Professor of History in 1991. Prior to that time, he served as an educator for the University of Wyoming (1990-1991), the campus pastor for the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming (1989-1991), and the assistant pastor at Wheat Ridge Lutheran Church in Wheat Ridge, Colorado (1987-1989).

Education

Ferry earned his bachelor's degree from St. John's College in Winfield, Kansas in 1981. He completed his M.Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1987. He also earned a Ph.D. in European History from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado in 1996.
