Pate acha

Pate acha also called pete acha, tere, gote or gwete is a Nigerian dish from the northern part of Nigeria. It is made from ground corn, rice or acha.

Pâté is a short film by Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and went on to win several prestigious awards including NYU's Wasserman Award, the Fielle d'Or at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, The Grand Jury Prize at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival, Award for Excellence from New York Magazine and the Special Jury Prize at the Atlanta Film Festival.

Plot summary

Pâté is a dark story about an aristocratic family struggling to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Amongst a landscape of desolation, two young children, Otto and his sister Vera, hunt daily for food. Meanwhile, at home in an abandoned ship, their delusional Mother clings onto the faded glory of their former aristocratic lives, aided by her shiftless Maid.

Full of memories, their life is a shadow of the past as each character copes with the grind of daily survival. When the malevolent Mister Griswald, the only man to survive the apocalypse, drops in for dinner, he sets in motion the final act - revealing the shocking secret of their survival.

Pate (instrument)

A pātē is a Polynesian percussion instrument. It is of the slit drum family, and therefore is also of the idiophone percussion family. It is made from a hollowed-out log, usually of Milo wood and produces a distinctive and loud sound. Different sizes of pate offer different pitches and volumes, as well as striking the pate in the middle or near the ends.

Construction

First a segment of a hardwood tree trunk or thick branch is taken and stripped of its bark. Holes are then bored into the log in a straight line, from one end to the other, optionally leaving some space at each end. What remains in between the holes is then chiseled out, forming the characteristic slit. After this, the log continues to be hollowed out through the slit. Both the shape of the slit and the extent that the log is gutted will affect the tone and pitch of the pate.

Jelita Septriasa (born 1 September 1989), better known by her stage name of Acha Septriasa, is an Indonesian actress and also a singer. She was born in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Biography

Septriasa was born Jelita Septriasa in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 1 September 1989 to Sagitta Ahimshah and Rita Emza; she is the third of six children. Her younger sister, Juwita Maritsa, who looks like her, is also an entertainer. She first studied at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 6 from 1995 to 2001, then State Junior High School 73 from 2001 to 2004; both are in Tebet, South Jakarta. Her high school was State Senior High School 82, Jakarta, which she attended from 2004 to 2007.

Septriasa began her entertainment career as a model in the Gadis Sampul pageant, held by the teen magazine Gadis in 2004. Her first film role was in 2005's Apa Artinya Cinta? (What is the Meaning of Love?), in which she had a supporting role. The following year, she rose to fame with the success of Heart, in which she starred opposite Nirina Zubir and her then-boyfriend Irwansyah. She also sang for the soundtrack album together with Irwansyah which produced by Melly Goeslaw and her husband, got double platinum; two of her the singles, "Sampai Menutup Mata" ("Until I Close My Eyes") and the duet "My Heart", received international airplay.

Toy Pop

Toy Pop (トイポップ, Toi Poppu) is a multi-directional shooter arcade game that was released by Namco in 1986. It runs on Namco Libble Rabble hardware, and was also the only game that the company released in their last 8-bit year that did not use a Yamaha YM2151 FM sound chip. The game was later rereleased as part of Namco Museum Vol. 1 for the original Sony PlayStation in 1996.

Gameplay

Toy Pop is a top-down multi-directional shooter that can be played both single-player or with two players simultaneously. The players venture through 44 floors (the game uses the toy-themed term "Box" as opposed to "Floor", to fit with the game's setting) collecting four gold hearts contained in jars on each floor in order to advance. Along the way, the players must open gift-wrapped containers concealing either weapons or score-increasing bonus items; these various weapons are used to defeat several different varieties of enemies (Heitai, Cars, Tanks, Domdoms, Trumps, Osaru, Robots and occasionally the evil wizard Mahou), with many typically vulnerable to only one type of weapon.
