Pars is a surname, and may refer to:
The Pre-arrival Review System (PARS) allows importers and brokers to submit release on minimum documentation (RMD) information to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) for review and processing before their goods arrive in Canada. This speeds up the release or referral for examination process when the goods arrive in Canada.
When the shipment arrives at a border point of entry, the CBSA will release it within minutes unless an examination or further processing is required to meet another government department's regulation.
Importers using PARS must attach a bar-coded label to a bill of lading or commercial invoice. The label is encoded with the word PARS, an alphanumeric CBSA-assigned carrier code registered to the importing shipper, and a sequential number. The bar-coded label is scanned at the point of entry by the CBSA. If the shipment has been pre-approved, it is released for entry into Canada. If the shipment is not approved, or requires further inspection by a government agency, the shipment is not released.
Quidam (/kiːˈdɑːm/ kee-DAHM) is the ninth stage show produced by Cirque du Soleil. It premiered in April 1996 and has been watched by millions of spectators around the world.Quidam originated as a big-top show in Montreal and was converted into an arena format beginning with its 2010 tour in North America. It then changed back to the Big Top for a 3-month run in Seoul, SK before returning to an arena show for its tour to Oceania.
The entire show is imagined by a bored girl named Zoé who is alienated and ignored by her parents. She dreams up the whimsical world of Quidam as a means of escaping the monotony of her life.
The show's title refers to the feature character, a man without a head, carrying an umbrella and a bowler hat. Quidam is said to be the embodiment of both everyone and no one at the same time. According to Cirque du Soleil literature "Quidam: a nameless passer-by, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past... One who cries out, sings and dreams within us all."
Quidam is a Polish Progressive rock band, evolving from the hard rock/blues trio Deep River, a band formed by Maciek Meller, Radek Scholl and Rafał Jermakow. When Zbyszek Florek and Ewa Smarzyńska joined the band, the original Quidam line up was complete. In this line-up the debut album Quidam was recorded between September 1995 and March 1996. The album was produced with guest appearances of three Collage members: Wojtek Szadkowski, Mirek Gil and Krzysiek Palczewski.
Quidam is the debut album of Polish Progressive rock group with the same name, released May 1996. The album was released at the First Warsaw Prog-Fest 1996. It contains nine songs of melodic symphonic rock.
