According to the Book of Mormon, Gid (/ɡɪd/) was a Nephite military officer. He is first mentioned as the leader of a band of soldiers Helaman had chosen to take a large body of Lamanite prisoners to Zarahemla. When news reached of a fresh Lamanite army attacking the main Nephite army, the prisoners revolted. Gid then led his men in killing the greater number of these prisoners before returning to help Helaman defeat the attacking army. He later took part in a strategic maneuver that led to the Lamanites abandoning all Nephite cities in his area.
Microsoft WinHelp is a proprietary format for online help files that can be displayed by the Microsoft Help browser winhelp.exe or winhlp32.exe. The file format is based on Rich Text Format (RTF). It remained a popular Help platform from Windows 3.0 platform through Windows XP. WinHelp was removed in Windows Vista to discourage software developers from using the obsolete format and encourage use of newer help formats.
GID or Gid might be an acronym or an abbreviation for or refer to:
This city
Is burning us alive
And we're wired
To go on like the street lights at night
And day after day, maze after maze
We lose sight of our dreams and desires
Whispers and screams, lost are the things
We used to hold so close
Oh, to break this heart of stone
See the world through her eyes
Those eyes of compassion
To see through all the lies
When the world goes up in flames
And we keep our eyes glazed
On ourselves
The mirages that we make
All the lives that we break that keep me from you
Help me
Break down the walls in my mind
To see
All the things that I'm hiding behind
But I'm scared to break free, I'm scared to be me
I'm so use to living a lie
All the silent charades, the games that we play
Oh, they hurt me deep inside
Can you break this heart of stone
See the world through her eyes
Those eyes of compassion
To see through all the lies
But this world goes up in flames
And we keep our eyes glazed
On ourselves
The mirages that we make
All the lives that we break that keep me from you
Can you break this heart of stone
See the world through her eyes
Those eyes of compassion
To see through all the lies
I want to feel alive
See the joy and the pain
Oh, the good and the bad
Can I try to love again
Put my heart on the line
