Page One Records, established in 1966, was the UK independent record label, owned by the producer/manager, Larry Page.
They were involved in a court case in July 1967 with The Troggs.
The label, which was co-founded by Page and Dick James, released hits from The Troggs, Vanity Fare and Plastic Penny, as well as numerous failed attempts by Page himself to obtain his own hit record. In the US, the label was distributed by Bell Records.
As the label faded, Page went on to found Penny Farthing Records.

Page One is the debut release by American jazz tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson. It features some of Henderson's most well-known pieces such as "Recorda Me," later to become a jazz standard, and "Out of the Night", originally written in 1957. The front cover lists "Joe Henderson/Kenny Dorham/Butch Warren/Pete La Roca, etc.". Only McCoy Tyner's name is absent. Bob Blumenthal explains, in his 1999 liner notes, that Tyner had just signed with Impulse!, so this first Blue Note appearance was not very adherent to the contract.
AllMusic describes the album as a "particularly strong and historic effort". According to All About Jazz, Page One, which introduced the Jazz standard "Blue Bossa", is still one of Henderson's "most critically acclaimed albums".PopMatters, by contrast, prefers later works, indicating in one review that Page One "has the careful feel of a leader’s first session". The album was identified by Scott Yanow in his Allmusic essay "Hard Bop" as one of the 17 Essential Hard Bop Recordings.
Page One is an album by Steven Page. It is his third full-length release outside of Barenaked Ladies, and both his second album as the featured performer (after The Vanity Project), and his second album for which he was billed in his own name (after A Singer Must Die by the Art of Time Ensemble with Steven Page). It is his first solo album of original material since his departure from Barenaked Ladies in February 2009.
Page One includes seven songs composed by Page with longtime collaborator Stephen Duffy and a pair of songs with first-time collaborator Craig Northey of The Odds who participated in each of the Barenaked Ladies' first three Ships and Dip cruises (and participated in the fourth in 2011 sans Page). The remaining three songs on the album were composed solely by Page. Similar to the release of A Singer Must Die, the first 200 CD copies sold on Page's official website would be autographed, and the first 100 vinyl copies would be autographed.
you beg for mercy when you crouch down in front of me.
could you be any weaker. you? worthless being.
every second you take is a waste of my time.
what else do you want? have you already killed me, dime? for dime.
I am ruthless. you spit a hard game. I don't like it.
