Pafos FC

Pafos FC (Greek: Πάφος FC) is a Cypriot football team based in Paphos. The club was formed in 2014 after the merger of AEK Kouklia and AEP Paphos. Their home stadium is Pafiako Stadium and they are currently competing in the Cypriot First Division.

History

Pafos FC was founded on 29 September 2000, after the merge of AEK Kouklia and AEP Paphos. In the 2013–14 season, AEK Kouklia competed in the Cypriot First Division for the first time in their history, but got relegated at the end of the season. The same season, AEP Paphos (which were created after the merge of the two clubs of Paphos, APOP and Evagoras) were competing in the Cypriot Second Division, but were facing huge economic problems and were constantly punished with point deductions. After the 2013–14 season finished, discussions began between the two clubs to create a new club to the Paphos district, in order to have a healthy and economically competitive team.

On 9 June 2014, the two clubs in a separate general meeting approved the creation of the new team, Pafos FC. On 10 June 2014, was held the first meeting of the fans of the new team, with the presence of political persons and football players from Paphos. The first chairman of the new team was Christakis Kaizer, who was the president of AEK Kouklia and one of the protagonists of the effort to create the new club. The new team will use as home stadium the Geroskipou Stadium in Geroskipou.

Paphos

Paphos /ˈpæfɒs/ (Greek: Πάφος [ˈpafos]; Turkish: Baf) is a coastal city in the southwest of Cyprus and the capital of Paphos District. In antiquity, two locations were called Paphos: Old Paphos and New Paphos. The currently inhabited city, New Paphos, lies on the Mediterranean coast, about 50 km (31.07 mi) west of Limassol (the biggest port on the island), which has an A6 highway connection. Paphos International Airport is the country's second-largest airport.

Near Palaepaphos (Old Paphos) at the seaside of Petra tou Romiou is the modern mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, and the founding myth is interwoven with the goddess at every level, so that Old Paphos became the most famous and important place for worshipping Aphrodite in the ancient world. In Greco-Roman times, Paphos was the island's capital, and it is well known for the remains of the Roman governor's palace, where extensive, fine mosaics are a major tourist attraction. Paul the Apostle visited the town during the first century AD. The town of Paphos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world's heritage.

F&C Asset Management Plc is an asset management company and is part of BMO Global Asset Management.

History

The Company was founded in 1972 as the manager of the Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust under the name F&C Management Limited.

In 1985 the Company started managing third party funds. In 1989 the Company established a partnership with Germany’s HypoVereinsbank who acquired a 50% stake in the business; this stake was increased to 90% in 1998. In 2000 Eureko purchased HypoVereinsbank’s 90% stake and in 2001 went on to secure 100% control and consolidate their asset management activities with those of the Company under the F&C brand.

In 2004 ISIS Asset Management merged with F&C Management Limited to form F&C Asset Management and the combined business was then listed on the London Stock Exchange.

In 2008 Friends Provident announced its intention to divest its shareholding in F&C Asset Management. This was completed in 2009.

On 7 May 2014, F&C Asset Management plc was acquired by Bank of Montreal through its wholly owned subsidiary, BMO Global Asset Management (Europe) Limited.

F&C (eroge maker)

F&C is an eroge maker, one of the long-established store makers which exist from the beginning of H game history. It is said that the origin of the company name is each initial of Fairytale and Cocktail Soft. They released first title "Fairy Tale" from Fairytale in 1987, and made another brand called Cocktail Soft in 1989. In 1997, they changed company name from "Ides" to current name. In 2001, they re-styled into 3 teams, called "FC01", "FC02" and "FC03"(Now Dreamsoft). At this time, Cocktail Soft announced the activity pause.
