PEN/Open Book

PEN/Open Book (known as the Beyond Margins Award through 2009) is a program intended to foster racial and ethnic diversity within the literary and publishing communities, and works to establish access for diverse literary groups to the publishing industry. Created in 1991 by the PEN American Center, the PEN/Open Book program ensures custodians of language and literature are representative of the American people.

The Committee discusses mutual concerns and strategies for advancing writing and professional activities, and coordinates Open Book events. While multiple awards were presented in previous years, the PEN Open Book Award now presents one award every year to books published in the United States (but without citizenship or residency requirements) by "authors of color who have not received wide media coverage".

The award is one of many PEN awards sponsored by International PEN affiliates in over 145 PEN centers around the world. The PEN American Center awards have been characterized as being among the "major" American literary prizes.

Open Book

Open Book is the third solo album from Christian hip hop artist Da’ T.R.U.T.H., released on July 10, 2007. It debuted 2 in the Billboard/Soundscan Gospel Chart, 1 on the Soundscan Christian Hip Hop Chart and ranked in the Top-8 on the iTunes Christian & Gospel Album Chart. At the same time, the album's current single "Who Am I?" featuring Tye Tribbett debuted #9 on HipHopRnBSoul.com's Top 10 Hip-Hop Songs, as the only Gospel song on the chart, sandwiched between Kanye West's "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" and 50 Cent's "Amusement Park." More recently, while the song has received a Stellar Award nomination for "Urban/Inspirational Single or Performance of the Year" and "Music Video of the Year", it has also been nominated for a 2008 GMA Award in the category of "Rap/Hip-Hop Recorded Song". The album has received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album. The album also earned a Stellar Award in the "Rap/Hip hop Gospel CD of the year" category.

A music video for the song "Who Am I?" featuring Tye Tribbett emerged from the project early in 2007. It can be found on YouTube, GodTube, or Rapzilla.com. A music video is also said to be in the works for the song "That Great Day".

Open Book (Video)

"Gary Barlow: Open Book" is a set of recorded interviews with Gary Barlow in 1997 and 1998 which he is shown to express his feelings on the Take That split and how he is adjusting to his solo career. The video was also packed with a promo of the single "Hang On In There Baby" which was released around Europe commercially but not in the UK.

This release contains the 4 music videos of the hit singles: "Forever Love", "Love Won't Wait", "So Help Me Girl" and "Open Road" as well as a video diary about the artist's life since the split with Take That. Barlow also sings "Your Song" after commenting on how fond he is of the song's structure.
