Attack Attack!
Attack Attack! was an American metalcore band from Westerville, Ohio, United States, formed in 2007 originally as Ambiance, later changing their name. Attack Attack!'s first release, an independent EP titled If Guns Are Outlawed, Can We Use Swords?, was released in 2008, which led to the signing of the band to Rise Records the same year. They released three full-length albums, Someday Came Suddenly, a self-titled album, and This Means War all through Rise Records. The band left Rise Records in 2012 and disbanded a year later after a farewell tour.
History
Formation and Someday Came Suddenly (2007–08)
Attack Attack! was formed around 2006 when Johnny Franck, Andrew Whiting, Nick White and Andrew Wetzel met Austin Carlile while playing in local high school bands. Caleb Shomo joined the band as the keyboardist, and they changed the name to Attack Attack!. In 2007 the band entered a local studio where they recorded material that was put up on Myspace to promote their music. As the oldest member of the band, Wetzel also acted as their manager for most of the year. The band were taken on by manager Eric Rushing of The Artery Foundation who signed them to Rise Records in May 2008. As members of the band were still underage at this point, contractual discussions required parental consent. The material recorded in 2007 was put together on the EP If Guns Are Outlawed, Can We Use Swords?. The band were also signed by booking agent David Shapiro of the Agency Group that resulted in nationwide tours. In November 2008 they released their debut album, Someday Came Suddenly, on Rise. Upon the release of Someday Came Suddenly, it peaked on the Billboard Independent Albums chart and number 193 on the Billboard 200, with sales of more than 3,600 in its first week despite its mediocre reviews.

Attack! Attack!
Attack! Attack! were a Welsh rock band from Caerphilly and Aberdare, formed in 2006. They released their eponymous debut album in 2008, with a second album The Latest Fashion released on 27 September 2010 through Hassle Records. Their third album, Long Road To Nowhere, was announced for a 1 April 2013 release, and this was later confirmed to be their final release. The band played a farewell April/May headliner in 2013 and then split.
Biography
They have toured across the UK with other British bands such as The Blackout, Funeral for a Friend, Lostprophets, Kids in Glass Houses and also American bands like New Found Glory and Zebrahead. Neil Starr came from Dopamine to form Attack! Attack! with Ryan Day. Will Davies came from the band Adequate Seven. Ryan Day and Mike Griffiths also played together in Pete's Sake.
The band finished a co-headlining UK tour with Tonight Is Goodbye during February 2009, with the two bands exchanging the headlining and main support positions every night. They played at the Hevy Music Festival on 1 August 2009 and at Butserfest on 12 September 2009. Their song "You and Me" is featured in the video game Guitar Hero 5. The band played their first headline tour with support acts Not Advised, Gap Year Riot and Impulse 11.
Attack Attack! (album)
Attack Attack! is the second studio album by American metalcore band Attack Attack! It was released on June 8, 2010 through Rise Records. It was produced by Joey Sturgis. The album was initially titled Shazam!, but due to copyright issues, it was self-titled. It is the first to feature Caleb Shomo on lead vocals, replacing former lead vocalist Nick Barham who had replaced original lead vocalist Austin Carlile but had not recorded an album with the band. It is also the final album to include former clean vocalist and rhythm guitarist Johnny Franck.
It peaked at number 26 on the Billboard 200, as well as topping the Independent Albums chart and peaking within the Alternative, Rock, and Digital Album charts. It received mixed reviews from music critics, with praise generated around the album's heavier tracks and negativity directed toward the electronicore and electropop songs. Its first single, "Smokahontas", was released on January 11, 2011.
A deluxe reissue of the album was released on July 19, 2011 through Rise Records, which included four bonus tracks, two remixes, and two acoustic tracks. It was first announced when the band premiered the bonus track and lead single, "Last Breath", on June 7, which was released for digital download on June 23.
