Donovan is the fourteenth studio album, and sixteenth album overall, from British singer-songwriter Donovan. It was released in the US (Arista AB 4143) in August 1977 and in the UK (RAK SRAK 528) with a different track order in October 1977.

    History

In 1976, Donovan's record contract with Epic Records came to an end with Slow Down World. The album had only achieved limited chart success, and his contract was not renewed. In the meantime, Donovan's old record producer Mickie Most launched Rak Records in the UK. Donovan and Most teamed up to record Donovan's next album on Rak Records in 1977. Arista Records picked up the distribution rights in the US.

In a distinct change from Slow Down World, the songs on Donovan were an attempt to reach mass audiences again. The songs feature a contemporary sound and, with the exception of "Maya's Dance", generally avoid the gentle balladry of Donovan's previous work. Despite these measures, Donovan failed to chart in both the US and UK, and signalled the end of Donovan's attempts to reach a mainstream audience. He would not release another original album in the United States until 1984.

List of American Horror Story characters

American Horror Story is an American horror television series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. However, Murphy has stated that all of the seasons are and will be connected by the end of the series.

The first season, subtitled Murder House, takes place during 2011 in Los Angeles, California and centers on a family that moves into a house haunted by its deceased former occupants. The second season, subtitled Asylum, takes place during 1964 in Massachusetts and follows the stories of the inmates and staff of an institution for the criminally insane. The third season, subtitled Coven, takes place during 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana and follows a coven of witches who face off against those who wish to destroy them. The fourth season, subtitled Freak Show, takes place during 1952 in Jupiter, Florida and focuses on one of the last remaining freak shows in America and its struggle to survive. The fifth season, subtitled Hotel, takes place during 2015 in Los Angeles, California and centers on the unusual occurrences and people of a mysterious and outdated hotel.

    Remember life's a game
    Use your smile to go
Across the things that make you feel
    You're out of time
    Deliver all the pain
    And forgive them all
Forget the things that make you loose
    Your breath again
Heaven's garden is where you wanted
    Look for it
And open up the doors of life
You'll find the colors of your heart
    Nothing gains and nothing starts
    Just go ahead
You deserve love, you deserve life
But you're always there to change a mind
    Always thinking and never falling
what you mean is in your head
    And in your hands
Don't let them tell you what to do
    Come along
Be sure of what you want my friend
You can work or you can sleep
Yet you can decide to change your life
    Remember life's a game
    Use your smile to go
Across the things that make you feel
    You're out of time
    Deliver all the pain
    And forgive them all
Forget the things that make you loose
    Your breath again
    Remember life's a game
    Use your smile to go
Across the things that make you feel
    You're out of time
    Deliver all the pain
    And forgive them all
Forget the things that make you loose
