Open space reserve

An open space reserve (also called open space preserve, open space reservation, and green space) is an area of protected or conserved land or water on which development is indefinitely set aside.

The purpose of an open space reserve may include the preservation or conservation of a community or region's rural natural or historic character; the conservation or preservation of a land or water area for the sake of recreational, ecological, environmental, aesthetic, or agricultural interests; or the management of a community or region's growth in terms of development, industry, or natural resources extraction. Open space reserves may be urban, suburban, or rural; they may be actual designated areas of land or water, or they may be zoning districts or overlays where development is limited or controlled to create undeveloped areas of land or water within a community or region. They may be publicly owned or owned by non-profit or private interests.

Open Space (band)

Open Space is a rock band from Minsk, Belarus comprising Vitaly Matievsky (lead vocals, guitar), Maxim Mestovsky (lead guitar, backing vocals, occasional harp), Seva Maslov (bass) and Andrei Malashenko (drums, percussion). Open Space have recorded their first demo EP "Wake Up" in summer 2007.

History

Band's history dates back to January 2006 when Seva Maslov and Vitaly Matievsky first met. They had one thing in common – they wanted to start a rock band. By that time both had some music training and Seva played in a few local bands before. The band's first rehearsal on 12 March 2006 became the date of the band's birth, but it was only after Maxim Mestovsky (guitar) and Andrei Malashenko (drums) became part of the band, when Open Space was complete. Maxim joined the band after second rehearsal and Andrei came in September 2006, when Open Space decided to replace their previous drummer. Andrei was already a local music scene veteran, as he played in popular Belarusian bands Indiga, Papenkinz Band, Leprikonsi, L.I.P, Po Glazam, Impat.

Open Space (Italy)

Open Space (Spazio Aperto) was a faction within The People of Freedom (PdL), a political party in Italy.

Led by Andrea Augello and Silvano Moffa, it was one of the factions of the so-called arcipelago finiano, that is to say the area around Gianfranco Fini. Open Space represented the more conciliatory wing of Finiani, especially if compared to Generation Italy (GI). Its members included mainly former members of National Alliance close to Fini (Augello, Moffa, Pasquale Viespoli, Cesare Cursi, Oreste Tofani, Marcello De Angelis, Giuseppe Valditara, Maurizio Saia, Luca Bellotti, Tommaso Foti) and few Berlusconiani coming from Forza Italia (Debora Bergamini, Romano Comincioli, Ferruccio Saro, Enrico Musso).

Moffa was also a founding member of National Area and joined GI too, while the former refused to do so because of his disagreement with Italo Bocchino. In fact most members of Open Space (Augello, Viespoli, Cursi, Tofani, De Angelis, Foti and, of course, the four Berlusconiani) did not join GI.
